HSB Cookbook ~ Coffee with Mrs. Dani
Posted 1:53 AM, Apr. 17, 2008
Any blog with coffee in the title probably has a few good recipes posted. It least it holds true for Coffee with Mrs. Dani! She has a wonderful assortment of recipes, from tastebud tinglers to healthy for the digestive tract (but every bit as tasty as those tinglers)! For a full look at all of Mrs. Dani's recipes you can check her recipe category.
Here are a few of the recipes that I thought looked downright delightful! Dried Apple Slices, Cheddar and Ham Loaf, Chocolate Syrup, and Honey Lemon Chicken. She also has quite a few cooking tips, check out her info on how to freeze certain foods. While you're busy reading why don't you pass me that chocolate sauce? While looking over the entries to the HSB Homeschool Times Challenge I came across Shiver Academy blog. T8ermomma told about some interesting cookies she had made. I asked her for the recipe and she kindly posted it to her blog! So go on over and take look, (be sure to scroll down for it) and whip up a batch of these yummy sounding cookies! Tell us what you think! HSB Cookbook ~ Slow Cooker Cherry Cobbler
Posted 11:45 PM, Feb. 27, 2008
I just finished eating the most fantastically delightful strawberry shortcake made by my wonderful daughter! Hungry for dessert? You can find the recipe my daughter used on the back of a box of Bisquick.
However, this week's recipe comes from His Mercy is New and it looks like it would be just as delicious as the strawberry shortcake. It's Slow Cooker Cherry Cobbler! Yum, yum, yummy! Do us all a favor, if you make either one of these recipes let us know how it turned out by leaving us a comment. That we we'll know you weren't poisoned. Just kidding! Not only can she blog, she can cook! She is a woman of many talents and she has a sense of humor as well. That has to be good while working in the kitchen. I'm talking about drewsfamilytx of My Homeshcool and Other Such Happenings.
Right now we are focusing on her other such happenings, cooking. She has a category dedicated to the yummy recicpes she finds. You can just click here and read them all but let me highlight a couple of recipes I'm going to have to try like, Kung Pao Pork (no peanuts) which is good because I have a child that can't stand nuts. Bacon Wrapped Chicken just about had me cooking in the kitchen at 10:00 p.m.! Yummy! Bacon and chicken and cream cheese... wow! Speaking of cream cheese, who knew you could put it in pudding? This Banana Pudding Recipe calls for it and apparently got rave reviews at a baby shower. That's all the critique I need; if a group of women devour it, it's got to be really good! Don't forget, if you'd like for me to point to the recipes on your blog or you see a recipe on another blog let me know! If you try any of the recipes listed here in the HSB Cookbook please let the blogger who posted the recipe know and then leave a comment here letting us know! I thought I'd try another weekly column, the HSB Cookbook. It won't always be posting recipes, usually just directing you to recipes that other bloggers have posted which make mouths water, stomachs rumble, and eyes glaze over.
