Prayer Request for Chris Klicka

Posted 5:44 PM, Sep. 3, 2009
Many of you have heard of Chris Klicka--he has done so much for homeschooling--and you may have also heard that he is suffering from MS. Things have become much harder lately and Chris is taking a 4 week sabbatical from HSLDA as the family prays about what to do next.

To find out more read Tracy's latest journal entry at CaringBridge.

Please intercede for them today,  they need your prayers. Please pass this along to your friends.

Prayer Request ~ Drewsfamilytx

Posted 12:47 PM, Aug. 28, 2008

Many of you know Marsha from Our Homeschool and Other Such Happenings and Heart of the Matter Online. On Tuesday, Aug. 26, Marsha's three year old son, Dozer, went to be with Jesus.

Please pray for Marsha, David, and their entire family as they mourn the loss of their darling little boy.

You can read a tribute to Dozer on Heart of the Matter Online. They've put up a memorial fund button for him there and an address where you can mail cards.

Emily over at The Learning Never Stops bought Marsha an iPod and is asking everyone to offer their choice of a song that will give Marsha comfort.

Marsha, we love you deeply and cry with you and for you. May our Heavenly Father bring you and your family peace and comfort.

Urgent Prayer Request for Mary Leggewie

Posted 1:04 AM, Nov. 3, 2007

Mary is the owner of HomeschoolChristian.com.  She recently had surgery due to breast cancer.  She is also receiving chemo treatments.  A flesh-eating bacteria is now attacking her body.  She has had a blood transfusion to help her white cell count and she is on very strong antibiotics.

The latest update reports that Mary's kidneys are failing and they can't put her on dialysis because her blood pressure is too low.

Please pray for Mary, her husband and their family.  During all of this they have had to deal with the fires in California which has required Mary to be  moved to three different hospitals.

Prayer Request for Gena and Baby Susanna

Posted 12:42 AM, Oct. 12, 2007

I'm sure many of you have been wondering just what is going on with Gena and her baby.  There's still a couple of months to go until Baby Susanna is born and it has been a very rough pregnancy.  Please keep the Suarez family in your prayers!

You can read an update at Seeking Rest in the Ancient Paths.  Start with this post to get an idea of what the current situation has been, but don't forget to read this post where prayers have already been answered!

Pray for the Children of Germany

Posted 12:48 PM, Sep. 28, 2007

Earlier this week I was sent an e-mail about a curriculum that has been introduced to preschoolers in Germany.  A curriculum so vile and disgusting that I wanted to throw up.

I wondered how I would be able to share this with others, I wanted to be able to scream a warning.  How do I do that though without totally offending your own senses and searing the images into your brain?   After consulting a co-worker on the matter she brought up a very important point.  Ephesians 5:11-12.

And have no fellowship with the unfrutiful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.  For it is a shame to even speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

So that is it, that's all I'm going to tell you about this prayer request.   I will not give the link to what I read so please don't ask.  Just pray for the children in Germany and in the U.S. and everywhere because evil is being forced upon them.

Urgent Prayer Request for Hannah Overton

Posted 12:38 AM, Sep. 24, 2007

Hannah and her family need your prayers.  This mother of five, a foster parent, and homeschooling mama has just been found guilty of murder.  Her husband will be facing trial soon for the same murder.

You can read a news article HERE and check out a website created to help free Hannah HERE.

This story is so sad and scary.  If a parent doesn't rush their child off to the Dr. or ER then they are accused of delaying treatment, even if they didn't think the symptoms were dangerous, or they used common sense steps before getting outside treatment.  If a parent must take unusual steps for an unusual child they are abusive.

Hannah is not the first homeschool parent to have the facts twisted and face charges.  She won't be the last.

This Baby Needs Our Prayers

Posted 1:34 PM, Jun. 1, 2007
A lady called and asked if some people who had blogs could ask people to be praying for this 5 month old child who had been tortured by his parents.  He is still alive, but had 27 broken bones and burns to his body and bleeding on the brain.

You can read the news report HERE.

Please pray for this baby boy.
