Book Discussion

Posted in Literary Club Announcements

Ok. I guess with all of the Thanksgiving celebrations, we didn't get much discussion done here last week.  Amanda and I posted our thoughts, as did Stephanie and Jeannie, and we would love to hear from the rest of you what you think about the first 3 chapters... Was the suspense of what would happen next just too much? Did you need to just read on?
Amanda asked me if we should discuss one or 2 chapters at a time, but I wasn't sure how that would go with everyone. That is so few pages a week, but the chapters are quite rich. What say you? I know some of you are waiting on your books, but many of you already had it.
I am sorry I didn't have time to get any extra information on this past week. We are working with one desktop pc between 4 of us who use the computer. I also am going to get the questions for family discussion on, but maybe tomorrow!

Blessings!

By the way, did you know that Gena had her baby?? Susanna Hope. She is a beautiful sweetie.  Go congratulate her.  And Paulie blogged about it too. Go congratulate the biggest brother. He is posting video and more pictures soon.

Wednesday, November 28, 2007 - 1 or 2 chapters...

I think 1 to 2 chapters at a time would be fine. During this holiday season, it might make it easier to get done. Maybe for posts from the group. When are we reading the next installment for? It isn't today is it????!!!

I agree 1-2 chapter discussions during this time of holidays and what nots would be a great idea, and I think it will help those that are still waiting for their books to play catch up once they arrive, so they dont feel totally left out from where we are.

Welcome

Welcome to HSB Literary Club. Please join us in reading Enoch Roden's Training by Hesba Stretton. As Enoch's faith is tested, will he prove that his is no mere profession, but a real, living confidence in God's love and wisdom? Through severe trials, Enoch learns much about sound business principles, sacrifice, and trusting God. If he had only said, "I am working with God…" he would never have found the work wearisome, for of all grand, and comforting, and heart-refreshing thoughts in this world, to a Christian, the greatest is the thought that we are co-workers with God. Without a doubt, after reading this book, you'll walk away a better person than when you began. To get started, click on the book icon and get yours ordered today!
