I do plan to review this book soon, but in the meantime I wanted to get the recommendation out. The book is Martin Luther's Easter Book . I found my copy at CBD for $1.99.
This book is best read as a devotional, IMO. The editors have selected portions of Martin Luther's sermons related to the weeks prior, during and immediately after Christ's crucifixion. Each passage is accompanied by a reference to the scripture that ML was referring to in that sermon. So you can review the scripture and then read his thoughts with regard to that particular part of the Bible. I have found his words to be very insightful and applicable to many areas in my life and the lives of others. I think of it as a devotional because the selections are just small exerpts from his sermons and thus limited in scope.
For $1.99 I think it's a vauable addition to my library and definitely will keep it for use in years to come.
