Be self-controled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1Peter 5:8-9 1 Comments| Post a Comment! // Written on Dec. 22, 2009 Ok so right now I'm not really doing much so I can finially make a post. December is a really busy month. The van ended up not needing the breaks changed. We took off both front tires and found that neither side needed a change. But the van is still squeaking when it stops after it warms up a bit... still thinking about that. But the good thing is that it passed inspection. God was definetly with us because there is NO WAY that it should have passed. The car fan did end up working strangley. It was really wierd. My dad drove to work after we tried to fix it and it started working again. It sounds really bad because it's out of balance but hey, at least it works. Sarah is still going to physical therapy for an hour and they think that she actually broke more bones than the doctors x-rayed. So she goes back in tomarrow to get it x-rayed. Hopefuly everything will be ok but it's really been causing her some pain. Right now I am cleaning my room. I got my parents old full size bed so they could get another one. We put it in yesterday and now my room is even more of a mess than it was before we moved it in. *sighs* I don't particulary like cleaning my room. But I guess that it has to be done every now and then. God Bless, Hannah the Banana 0 Comments| Post a Comment! Oh I Really Don't Know.... Why Must There Be A Title Today?// Written on Dec. 8, 2009Ya know? I think that December's are a lot busier than most months. This year some of it doen't even have to do anything with Christmas for us. Three day's a week Sarah has to go to pysical therapy for a hour. Today me and dad tried to fix the fan in his car when he got home from work to no avail. I worked on it all afternoon from the time he got home at 4pm to 7pm (he has to work later this week). Unfortunatly it started sleeting as we started working so we had to put up an Ez-up. But even then it was still cold !!!!! So anyway. We replaced the motor to the fan and we changed something else that has to do with the fan and please forgive me but my mind is drawing a blank as to what the heck it's called (all I know is that it wasn't hard at all to replace). But something still isn't right be because we drove up to Wawa's to get gas and when we got home the fan still wasn't working! So we're gonna try to figure that out tomarrow. Also tomarrow if it warms up a bit I need to change the front brakes in the van. I hope to get those done before Dad get's home! But we REALLY have to get the van in better shape cause we need to take it in for an inspection. Shouldn't take TO much work though. Just need to do the brakes and change some tires. And the car is way messed up! But at least it runs! Well I've got to go for now! God Bless!! Hannah the Banana 5 Comments| Post a Comment! Ok so I think that's all! Hannah the Banana 1 Comments| Post a Comment! Happy Thanksgiving!// Written on Nov. 26, 2009Happy Thanksgiving ya'll!! What are you thankfull for? What did you do today? I must say that I am SO thankfull for my spectacular family, a roof over my head, and Awesome friends!!! Today we really didn't do much. We made linner (lunch/ dinner) while watching the parade, by the way I have NO idea who most of the people who sang there even was, wouldn't it have been really cool if Hawk Nelson, Relient K, or Thousand Foot Krutch sang?? That would have made the parade wonderful in my opinion! But anyway, back to what all we did this fine day. So after the parade was over we watched part of the Dog Show. Then midway through that show we ate linner!! It was SOO delicious. Then after that we washed all the dishes then watched TV and movies the rest of the day. We didn't do much but it was still an awesome day! :D Hannah the Banana 5 Comments| Post a Comment! ........................??// Written on Nov. 24, 2009Sorry! I have really wanted to write but I haven't found anything to really write about. Well... I guess I can think of a few things but life has pretty much been uneventful latley. First off, Sarah (10) has herr cast off. She is curently in a walking cast and hobling along pretty well! Which is a really awesome think because that means that she has healed very well so far. The doctor that we go to wants to send her to pysical therapy but unfortunatly the one that they want to send her to is 2 hours away. So we don't know if she will be going or not. Thank you all SOO much for your prayers!!! Prayers would still be welcome though because she still is not compleatly healed. A few weeks ago we recieved our 3rd box of chicks!! :D This time my dad ordered 45 females.... soo hopefully we have ALL females. The last box we got, over half of them were males and we ordered only females. Right now we are only getting 3 to 4 eggs a day because when we got home from vacation we found that we lost almost all of our really good layers. That's the main reason as to why we got more chicks. Wow, sorry that was a pretty usles post but I really don't have anything to write about! God Bless, Hannah the Banana! 2 Comments| Post a Comment! Excitment in the House// Written on Oct. 29, 2009So yeah right now there is a lot of excitement. My little sister Sarah fell out of a tree. Seven feet up. -shakes head- She is such a monkey. But anyway, she did indeed break her leg. She broke her tibia and her fibia in the growth plates. This all happened last Wednesday (sorry to write this so late). When we took her to the ER they put a splint on and told her that on Friday they were going to put a real cast on her. So on Friday she got her hard cast. Unfourtunaly the only color they had was black. She wanted a brown or pink one. But we decorated it with brown and pink ribbon and glued little fomey things on it. She's doing pretty good now but she gets really bored since she has to have her leg elevated as much as possible. If ya'll wouldn't mind praying for her that would be great! She is currently working on it right now. I think she has been working on it for 30 minutes. Ok this was a pretty usles post but hey. I thought I'd just let every one know that my head now hurts! Hannah 0 Comments| Post a Comment! The Rest of Vacation// Written on Oct. 11, 2009So I guess I'll tell you about the rest of our vacation. Sorry I didn't write this sooner. After we left Yellowstone Park we went to ended up in Colorado with some friends of ours and stayed there for 3 nights. We had a lot of fun. One day we went to a corn maze. The other day we went to Estas Park! I love that place! W got to see elk and climb up the side of a waterfall. Dummy me wore sandals though. But I managed just fine. The day we left we stopped bye another persons house and ate lunch there. They had 4 boys. Drake (10), Preston (9), Brent (I think 5), and Griffon (I think 3). They were all really sweet and full of fun. That night we stayed in a hotel in New Mexico. By then I knew where we were going and was VERY excited to get on the road!!! We ended up at my AWESOME, Best Friend's house around lunchtime!!!!!! I Miss you SOOOO much Nikki!!!! We got to stay there that night and had SOO much fun!! I had a great time talking, cause that's pretty much all we do! The next morning we had to leave (Sadly) for Mosurri (sp?). We stayed that night somewhere in Texas. Then the next day we traveled through Amarillo, Texas and I got to sing Amarillo Sky by Jason Aaldean while driving though it! So that was pretty cool. Then we went through Oklahoma and we all sang Oklahoma from the movie Oklahoma. Then we went through Kansas and in that oober boring state me and Sarah (9) watched The Fellowship of the Ring. :D That night we got to our Grandma and Grandpa's house! Grandpa wasn't home because he has the night shift where he works but we enjoyed being with Grandma. Actually I got to see Grandpa first which was pretty cool! I stayed up late enough to see him at 1:00 AM!! It was pretty neat the next day because it was Friday and my grandma is a school teacher but she was able to have the day off. So she took us kids shopping aroud town from one store to another. Since she doesn't get to see us all the time or get stuff for us all the time she always lets us get something while we're there. She bought Sarah a pair of nice cowgirl boots since she's been wanting some. Joshua got a new super cool Nerf gun! Rebekkah got some nice new doll clothes for her doll. I didn't get anything that day. I really didn't want anything. Well actually I would really like the new Hawk Nelson CD but they didn't have that at Wal-Mart and I forgot to look at Target. So I felt bad that she didn't get to get me anything and I remembered that I wanted some new skates since mine broke (they were REALLY cheap). So I ended up getting a nice new pair of roller skates! The next day Sarah, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa went to Bush race and had a lot of fun. Mom, Rebekkah, Joshua, and I went to get my skates since I didn't get them the day before. Also my mom treated us out to lunch and we all chose Culvers since they don't have one of those here in Virginia (if we do will someone please let me know??). It was awesome! They have some pretty good food and ice cream! Then on Sunday, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, and I, went to the Cup race. That was also a lot of fun! Tony Stewert ended up wining but Jeff Gordon was second!! It was a pretty good race. We actually got to go down on the race track and on pit lane and victory lane before the race and we also got to see the drivers pass by after Driver Intoduction!!! That was awesome! I have some pretty cool pictures!. On Monday Grandma had to work so Grandpa took us out caching and took us to ones he had already found so we could find them easier. But he had to go to work around 3 PM so we didn't get to stay out to late. But we had a lot of fun just hanging out with Grandpa! On Thursday morning we left right after Grandma left for school. We ended up somewhere in Kentucky for the night. Then the next day we drove home. But on the way, when we just got into VA we ended up near where my other AWESOME friend I had never met Kaitlyn's house! So I called and asked if they were home so we could just stop bye to meet and then be on our way because we really couldn't stay long and really wanted to go home and pick up my dog and see our mini farm. But we got to stop bye and I finially got to meet my awesome friend!!! We were only going to stay there for 15 minutes but that ended up an hour long stay! :D Then when we got home with my dog we were VERY happy to be home!!! And now it's Sunday and tommarrow Joshua has Cub Scouts and my sister's and I are also going so we can skate outside on the nice asfault (sp?)!! Hannah the Banana!! 0 Comments| Post a Comment! Beatles!// Written on Sep. 25, 2009 I love the Beatles! Really I do. I think I’ve told you before but I’ll tell you again. There is no harm in telling you is there? No, I didn’t think so. So anyway we were driving through Yellowstone National Park yesterday (and yes I was listening to the Beatles) and it was SOO neat there! We saw two bison, one bull elk, one doe elk, no bears (much to Sarah’s disappointment), and a few other critters here and there. We got to see really big geyser craters, hot springs, and active geysers. We even got to see Old Faithful (eventually I will try to put pictures up of everything we’ve seen)! So yeah I’ve had a lot of fun! Hannah the Banana P.S. Sorry that was kind of a useless post but oh well. P.S.S. I LOVE the Beatles!!!! 1 Comments| Post a Comment! Hey Ya'll - Part 2// Written on Sep. 23, 2009So yeah we went on a tour in a cave a few hours ago and that was a lot of fun! We learned quite a bit. It was funny though cause I had just learned about caves in science a couple of weeks ago. Papaw bought us kids all a T-shirt from the park. We still have about 2 weeks left of vacation and who knows where we'll go before that!! Like i said earlier... Us kids never know cause ou parent never tell us. So I usually figure it out myself! But I'm not going to say anything cause Rebekkah sometimes reads my blog. Well I have to go for now. I don't really have anything else to say right now. God Bless! Hannah the Banana P.S. I'll write more in a few days if I can! 1 Comments| Post a Comment! Hey Ya'll// Written on Sep. 23, 2009Hey ya'll! I am having a LOT of fun this vacation. And It's only day 6 (I think)! On the first day (Friday the 18th) we went to Ohio and stayed with a family that Maw knew on the internet. They have 5 kids. Andrew, Aaron, Seth (Sethy, Sage), Hope (Hopey), and Hosanna. They were all under the age of 8. But they were SOOO cute! I loved Seth!! He was 3... but now he's 4. No kidding, that's what he told us. Also he told us that he was just cracking us up! He was really cute! Then the next day we went to Chicago and visited our friends the Schwaars. That was a lot of fun! But thanks to Ryan I now have a big bruise that's black, blue, and purple, and it hurts to even touch it. ;) No it wasn't his fault. We were playing on the trampoline just bouncing and he made me double jump unexpectedly and I landed goofy and fell on my arm and my cheek bone on the metal part of the trampoline and did a barrel roll off the thing. But I lived and got back on and jumped for a while more! Now I have a big bruise and my cheek bone feels like it is but it isn't. Eh... oh well! The next morning we went to the Wisconsin Dells in the middle of absolute nowhere to visit another family that Maw met on the internet. I don't remember how many kids they had cause we were only there for lunch (sloppy joe's). I also can't really remember all of their names! There were a lot of them. But I do remember the 21 year old named Sarah. She taught me how to use a flint! :D After we ate we were back on the road. Aparently we were going to eat dinner at another familys house then drive a bit more and find a hotel. But we left the family we ate lunch with way to late and we wern't going to make it on time. So we called an told them that we wern't going to make it. But they invited us over to stay the night! So we did and had a lot of fun! They had 6 kids but one of them had her own family and lived in Japan so we didn't get to see her. Unfortunatly I can remember the younger one's names and ages but I remember the 3 older ones (still at the house). Lexi (15), Emma (13, and my new pen-pal), Kristi (11?, and Rebekkah's new pen-pal), and like I said I can't remember the other's names. But we had a lot of fun visiting with them! The next day we were in the van most of the day (you know that us kids have know idea where we're ever going right?). I figured out where we were going and I was right! We went to Mt. Rishmoore!!! :D It was SOOOOO neat! I'll put a picture on my picture blog in a few days. It was really neat there! We were all excited! I got a LOT of pictures. Then we found a hotel a few hours away and stayed the night. We went to bed early cause we were ALL tired! Maw and I went to Wal-Mart across the street and bought some chips, cheese dip, and been dip for dinner. It tasted great! After a good night's rest we drove most of the day tomy Papaw John's house!!!! :D We are still here now and will leave tomarrow morning. We haven't seen him in a while and it is REALLY nice to see him! To be continued later when we get back from caving... Hannah the Banana 1 Comments| Post a Comment! Busy// Written on Sep. 17, 2009Hey! Today is going to be pretty busy. Since tomarrow (sp?), bright and early, we are leaving, we have a lot of packing to do. Also I would like to clean my room a bit while I'm packing. Cause it is a mess!! Then this evening we are taking my Kopus (my dog), down to a friend of ours. It'really nice that they are watching him cause I was getting worried about how he'd do on vacation. But now I don't have to! :D I'm going to really miss him though!! Yesterday we were going to take our cats to the Humane Socitey because they keep pooping on our rugs and we didn't have anyone to watch them. Sarah (9) was really sad that day and the night before. BUT when my mom called them to ask a few questions, they told her that they were closed yesterday! So my dad did a little bit of reserch (sp?) and found that a reason they might be pooping on all our rugs is that they only have one litter box. And when we took the dog to the vet yesterday we asked the doc there why they might be pooping everywere he told us the same thing that dad had reserched (sp?). So we bought another litter box for them and I don't think they pooped on anything the rest of the day or so far today! Also we found someone who would enjoy watching them. So that is really nice! Oh and we have someone to watch the chickens in case you were wondering. Hopefully I should be able to write on here while I'm gone cause i'm taking my laptop and, my dad being as awesome as he is, we will have internet in the van with us while we are traveling! :D So God Bless ya'll!! Hannah the Banana 2 Comments| Post a Comment! I Can't Think of a Title...// Written on Sep. 15, 2009Hay ya'll! We are going on vacation on Friday. Can you belive it? You can? Oh. Well I can't! We are going to, MO, like every year around this time. And like every year we are going to go to the NASCAR race and to visit with my grandparents. But something fishy's going on this time... I can smell it *is deep in thought*. Hmmm... think, think, think... *and she snaps back to attention* I'm sorry, where was I? Oh yes just something interesting. Yesterday my 8 year old brother walked into my room with underwear on his head! Thank the Good Lord, it was clean but still. I don't think he's ever done that before. I got a picture of him for future refrence *grins evily*. You see when he gets older and get married I have a collection of pictures of him. Some of them are nice and others... are interesting... like the one with underwear on his head that I was talking about. Also I would like to remind everyone that Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming up quick. September 19th to be exact. I can't wait! I love that day. Right now I am trying to read a book called The Pirate Primer. It has a lot of words and terms that pirates use and their pronunciation. Here is one part that I found quite funny from the begining part in the section of Greetings and Partings: When pirates meet, they may or may not kill each other. They might exchange pleasantries before changing their minds and proceeding with full-blown sloughter. It really is a funny book. I have enjoyed reading bits and parts of it! Well I have got to go for now. God Bless ya'll! Hannah 4 Comments| Post a Comment! Camping// Written on Sep. 8, 2009Howdy ya'll who read this! So as you might have read a few posts ago I was going camping last weekend. I did and I had so much fun! So I'll try hard to tell you all about it. I'm kinda tired so please bear with me. So we borrowed a small camper from a friend of ours and loaded it onto our van. It was so heavy because we put some of our camping boxes on top of it and a huge jug of pink lemonade (which is really good by the way). When we were almost there my dad looked back and thought there was a big truck behind us and that was pretty funny. When we got there we set up camp and learned how to put a camper up. That was fun. My parents and two sisters slept in that. Joshua (8) and I slept in tents. I could have slept in the camper but I enjoy sleeping in a tent. That night there was a meet n’ greet thing for all the cachers. My parents went to that while we kids made some hot dogs and sausages (because I really don’t like hot dogs). The next day was the big event that a ton of people went to. There were a lot of kids too! Maw ran the sign in table and Paw ran all the computers and stuff like that. And the rest of us pretty much did whatever. They had an oversized volleyball and badminton kit all set up that we played with quite a bit. And I brought my soccer ball to play with if anyone wanted to. It turned out that this one gal there plays soccer so we kicked back and forth for a while. Then before too long we had a big group of kids kicking back and forth to one another. Some of them played soccer, others didn’t. One of the older boys is a goalie so he stood the closest to the pond just in case someone made a really bad kick. And someone did. He did a really high kick above everyone’s reach and it landed in the pond. So I decided that it didn’t look to deep and just stepped in to get it. But it was a lot deeper and muddier than I expected so after I had it and was on my way back my sandal/flip-flop got stick in the mud and I almost fell in. But the goalie came closer the water and gave me a hand so my shoe was saved and I didn’t fall all the way in. Then after all that we kicked it around for a while more and it got kicked in again. That time the goalie noticed that his cell phone wasn’t in his pocket and missed it. So we were just going to leave the ball there that time because it was a whole lot farther in. We found the guy’s phone and then these other guys came up and told us that they were going to get it for us. Before I could stop them and tell them that it was a really cheap ball and we found it on the side of the road who-knows-where they had their kayak out and in the water with the soccer ball on land. So we thanked them and just put the ball away. Then at the end of the day a little boy and I had a water fight and I got drenched. I actually think you could have filled a water bottle with all the water in my clothes. And it really only started out as me stealing his hat. So when I sat down to get some water from chasing him around all over the place and running away from him, he spits some water from a water bottle at me. So I pour some from my bottle on him and he goes and gets a refill from the water pump and we run all over the place slashing water at each other! I think my dad said that he was 7 or something. But it was fun and I got wet! :D Then that night I wanted to sleep in the hammock. So I did most of the night. I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and while I was up I heard a dog running through the camp barking at other dogs so I didn’t feel like messing with him if he came into our campsite, and went into my tent that was still set up. Also I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I still have tons of bites on my hands. The next morning we took down camp and headed home. All smelling of smoke and sweat! I really hope I didn’t bore you out of you mind if you read it to this point! God Bless!! Hannah 0 Comments| Post a Comment! Lord of the Rings// Written on Sep. 3, 2009I am in love with The Lord of the Rings!! I finished reading The Fellowship of the Ring a few days ago and yesterday when Maw and Paw went shopping, Paw suprissed me and picked up the movie!! So last night we watched it and I LOVE it!! I can't wait to read the other two books now. My favorite person has got to be Samwise Gamgee!!! :D God Bless Ya'll! Hannah 1 Comments| Post a Comment! We're Going Camping!// Written on Sep. 1, 2009Woo-Hoo! We're going camping this weekend! The reason we're going is for the Hampton Roads Geocaching Event in Chesapeake. We're one of the familys helping organize it so we have to be there. I love to camp! I love roasting marshmellows over the fire and eating smores and bacon in the morning. Oh and you can't forget the hammock and greasy pancakes. God Bless ya'll! Hannah the Banana 0 Comments| Post a Comment! Bush Gardens!!// Written on Aug. 27, 2009We went to Bush Gardens!!!! I love it there!! We went and met up with some friends of ours. They don't care for roller coaster to much so we ended up just eating lunch and going on a few rides with them. But I am SOO ecxited because Rebekkah (11) (sorry I'm talking about you again Boo) rode the Griffon (It has a 90 degree drop) and liked it!! That was so nice! So now she has riden all the rides in the park. I think we all have now. Joshua (8) and Sarah (9) encluded! Man I love roller coasters. That night when I went to bed I still felt like I was riding Apollo's Chariot (just a ton of up and downs)! So anyway, can you tell that I had a lot of fun? God bless ya'll! Hannah P.S. I came across this verse last night and put it on my wall and would just like to share it: Flee from the evil desieres of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 2 Timothy 2:22-24 1 Comments| Post a Comment! |
