Wednesday, February 20, 2008 - I can do it!

I am posting on my blog two days in a row just to prove that I can do it!

Well the big news is in school today I finished my Biology textbook!!! I still have to take the final, but knowing I am DONE with that horrid book is such a great feeling! (have I ever mentioned my disinterest in the study of biology? :)

Right now I'm baking  chocolate cookies with chocolate and white chocolate chips. It is the first time I have ever used this recipe but I think they are turning out well.

I better go finish up the cookies and then I have some ironing to do before church tonight!

Blessings,

~HannahElizabeth

Saturday, February 23, 2008 - Etsy and Socks

Posted by Lana

Hi Hannah,
I went to your Etsy store; you have some of the cutest things!
I'm thinking of doing something on etsy, too; I'd like to sell girly socks, some beaded and some with crocheted fringes of specialty yarn. Anyway, I thought you might be interested in making some too. Since you could make some to match the hats you make, they might sell well. So, here's a link to my mom's blog, where she posted a picture of a pair I made for Lily.
I'd give you my pattern, but I don't have one, per se. I didn't invent the idea, I just figured out my own way of doing it, and the method changes depending on the yarn :^P
But, they're fun to make, and I can finish a pair in well under twenty minutes. (I don't mean I crochet the sock, just the fringe, but you'll know what I mean when you see the picture)
Oops, almost forgot the link! http://pursuingjoy.blogspot.com/2008/02/socks-speakin.html

This link doesn't show a beaded pair. Those are very cute but they do take a lot longer to make.

Glad you finished the biology book; YAY!!

Best go, it's rather late, but I'd been meaning to tell you about those socks, because you crochet such pretty, feminine things.

I hope that God blesses your business, and all the works of your hands.
