• October 2, 2005 - "He doeth His will"

"And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured Him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, 'What doest Thou?' " - Daniel 4:34, 35

I am so glad that God is in control. "He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inabitants of the earth."

God can accomplish His will. Even the king's heart (or the president's or the congress' or any other person's heart) is in His hand. "He turneth it withersoever He will." (See Prov. 21:1)

We can trust Him to do what is best. I praise Him for that.

Amen! Isn't it a blessing that we are not in control? There's such perfect peace when I don't have to trust in myself (which is always!). I've been thinking about how God gets His will accomplished.... (not that I can understand it fully). I think that whenever a Christian comes into His Kingdom, they become kind of like a dish in His kitchen. Of course He'll want to use the clean ones first, the ones that will accomplish His purpose best. If they're unclean, He will use another. If they are unwilling, He will use another. Same with Christians.... if we are clean from sin, He will use us; if we are soiled, we must ask Him to clean us before He will use us. Just a thought off the tip of my fingers......

God bless you, Hannah!

I like your analogy. May we be "clean dishes" for the Master's use!

Thanks for sharing! :-)
