Day 1 past due date...
Posted in Pregnancy and Birth
Thank you all for your prayers for this last bit of pregnancy. I greatly appreciate them.
I'm starting to get those phone calls... "Did you have the baby yet?"
Those calls get old and everyone that calls are already on our... 'let know' list.
It's not easy going passed your due date, although "I've been there done that" with two of my other children. (The other two, my daughter was on her due date and my other son was induced 2 days early due to gestational diabeties and group B.) It's hard not to think about baby at this point so I've been trying to find things to keep me and my mind busy. I tried shampooing the carpet in the living room yesterday, but the belt broke on the machine. Playing board games with my kids, paying bills, sewing, thinking of things to do for my sons decade party. I like to read, but it is so hard to sit still for long amounts of time because I get stiff.

Oh! I hated comments like that. When my third child was due, there were two other ladies at my church due the same week. One a few days before and one a few days after. Well, one Saturday night they both went to the hospital and had their babies. So I show up at church the next day (not knowing about the births) and everyone was asking "Why didn't you have your baby?" I just said, "Well, they didn't invite me to the party." Our church was a large church and by the end of Sunday School and church, I was pretty aggrivated hearing all the "why didn't you's".
I'm praying for you!

Both my kidlings were quite late. I can certainly understand. Sometimes people would ask as if I had any control over the situation! ROFL Enjoy your time. This is a precious time. Your little one will come when he or she is ready.

"this too shall pass" is such a funny way to describe waiting for your baby! ;)
Once you have had a couple of kids you do realize that it WILL come sooner or later! I hope it is sooner so that you can feel a little more comfortable!

I feel for you and for me ..... this weight gain has thrown me for a loop. I am having a hard time with too many stairs and too many long walks. Just think by this time next year you will celebrate a birthday.
Blessings on your delivery date and the safe delivery of your precious new baby -- the time is close - rest assured!
