Posted in My sporadic poetry
It is our weekly tea time tomorrow and I wrote these clerihew's about each of my children. During our tea time, we enjoy reading and writing poetry.
J.D.
My first son
He is a lot of fun.
He knows he is really cool
and thinks cleaning his room is minuscule!
My Princess
My little princess
fancy, she likes to dress.
She screams at all bugs
towards me she comes for hugs.
Peanut
He is my peanut
His stuff he can strut
Around the house with his airplanes
He sure is one that entertains!
Squirt
With my little squirt
I'm always on alert
On things he likes to climb
which puts me on overtime!
J.D. is my 8yo son. Princess is my 7yo daughter. Peanut is my 4yo son and Squirt is my 22 month old son.
The Magazine
The Old Schoolhouse
words of encouragement they douse
upon their eager readers
who are teaching future leaders
A clerihew is a poem with four lines. The first and second lines rhyme with each other and the third and fourth lines rhyme with each other.
The first line names a person, the second line ends with something that rhymes with the name of the person. They should also be funny!
Happy Summer!
