"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6
When I was little I wanted to grow up to be a geologist, an archaeologist, a missionary and a mommy.
My oldest, Boo boo, wants to study sharks, be an inventor, and an astronaut.
Princess wants to be a cowgirl, a veterinarian and a mommy.
Peanut wants to be a donut maker.
The other two are to little to be thinking these big, possible dreams.
Even though I studied and went to school for the things "I wanted to be when I grow up," the Lord still directed my path. I am who He wants me to be. First, His daughter, then a wife, and then a mother. What a glorious life have when directed by the Lord.

I am so glad that God directs our paths! It is amazing what we 'thought' we wanted to be when we grew up and what He has allowed us to become!

When I was little I wanted to be a fireman, police man, armyman, a space man or an explorer. Now i'm married a public speaker and a marketing guy. Whouda thunk it :-) But I love it and can't wait to see what God has planned for me next :-)

Amen to this Di. I always think back to what would have been and wished I'd taken a different road, but I am always reminded of God's soveriegnty, and His ability to direct our footsteps. Some people have to go around the mountain a few times to get back on the road, but ultimately if we have placed our lives in God's hands, He directs each step. How reassuring that is . . .
