(I do enjoy coming up with spur of the moment poems!)
These pictures were taken out at my mothers house. They are of my kids playing in some of the mud puddles in her driveway after a nice big rain! She lives in a forest. I was going to have some pictures of her wild Columbine flowers, but my camera battery died! ***pout***

This is "Squirt" really getting into what he is doing. He is making the water swirl around. I just love this picture because it shows my sons' inquisitiveness. He's discovered something neat! I also was cleaning dirt out of his ears three days later! ROFL He is also sporting the latest in tie dye shirts... mud dye!

(Left to right): Peanut, JD, Squirt, and Princess
They are splashing, jumping... my dd's pants were pink!!
Praise the Lord kids are washable!

My 22 month old, "Squirt" would just keep playing in the mud puddle. The other three would go run in the grass, come back around and jump as hard as they could... splash everywhere and Squirt would just laugh and laugh after getting splashed! The little guy was covered!! Later on they would find objects like balls, stick, grass anything they could find to see what floated and what didn't. They took sticks and made a 'canal' to one mud puddle to the other and made one big one!
Some would say that this sort of play isn't educational.. it sure is!! They learned how to make bricks, canals, boats, submarines. They learned gravity.. the higher and harder you jump.. the bigger the splash! Then, when they were done they used their laundry skills!!

This is "Squirt". As I said yesterday in my blog, I love to have my younger ones in all the learning activities. He was doodling on his bigger brothers handwriting tablet. It is one of those dry erase thingers.. well he fell asleep. So precious!!
