Arm pits, sweat and puberty. My daughter cracked me up this morning when I asked the kids what gross thing they would like to learn today. My daughter shouts, "ARM PITS, but I don't want to learn any other gross stuff."
We started our "pit" adventures by reading Luke 22:44. Isn't it nice to know that Jesus was human and sweated? (Had bodily functions, too?)
My kids then reminded me that I sweat a lot when I exercise, but probably not as much as Jesus did, but close. I say, sweat at least once a day. It's a good thing. If I don't sweat while working out then I'm not working hard enough. (I'm also addicted to adrenaline.)
After discussing why our pits stink I suggested that tomorrow we grow some mold from our pits. While we are at it we will also get germs from our toilet seat, a door nob, toe jam, spit and whatever else we find that might provide some good growth.
It's creepy to think of all the bacteria, germs and other critters that are on our bodies. Thank G-d we don't see them, but at the same time I am thankful for them.
As our smelly pits and sweat talk went on we ended up talking about more puberty. (I have two that are going through it.)
Tomorrow - Mold!
