This is my first time at blogging. I've read and commented on others blogs... so.. Thought I'd finally give it a try.
Welcome to "THrough the eyes of HappyApple". I guess I'll start my blog off with how I came up with that blog title. (I can't think of anything else at the moment!)
HappyApple has been one of my online handles that has been with me for about 6 yrs or so. I've been known AppleHost, HisApple, HisHappyApple. I don't care much for apples to eat.. I'd rather eat an apricot, but "Apple" in itself has a special meaning for me. Years ago when I was reading my bible and read again "Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wing." (Psalm 17:8) I was curious as to what 'apple' ment. Besides just apple as in the fruit, it means in Hebrew - iyshon:"little man of the eye" or Hebrew- bath: a daughter in the same wide sense as other terms in relationship! Wow! What a realization that was for me... a daughter!! I've always known that I am a daughter of the most awesome God.. but reading that meaning for 'apple' just took on more 'life!' I am Happy to be His daughter, hence HappyApple.
Through the eyes of HappyApple... well.. that came about because I am sitting here at my computer which is next to my window where I see the Rocky Mountains, birds, kids playing, flowers, trees.... I tried to think of some way to put a window into an apple with words.. but they all sounded to "Through the lookingglass" -ish! Eyes are windows to the soul.. so... there ya have it.
