One of the reasons I enjoy our summer break is the time to catch up on books I've let pile up over the winter. My list this year is an eclectic mix.

Godless - The Church of Liberalism - by Ann Coulter (I'm hoping our library will purchase this one...we'll see)

Raising Lifelong Learners - by Lucy Calkins (so far very inspiring)

Total Truth - Liberating Christianity from Its Cultural Captivity - by Nancy Pearcey

A Mother's Heart - by Jean Fleming (my all-time favorite mommy book)

Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends - by the Mally Family

The Power of a Praying Parent - by Stormie Omartian (need to re-read this one often)

Charlotte Mason Companion - by Karen Andreola

A new Ted Dekker novel - love this guy's stuff...a bit bizarre, but extremely intriguing.

"A Mother's Heart" is my all-time favorite mommy book, too! I just recently reread it! I am in the middle of Karen Andreola's book and love "Making Brothers and Sisters Friends", too. I love catching up on my reading during the summer. It's the one time of year that I allow myself to indulge in fiction! I have been reading books by Terri Blackstock and she is wonderful!

Oh, Ted Dekker is FREAKY!! I hate reading his books, but have read every single one, idiot that I am. I just finished reading House, the book he did with Frank Peretti, and boy, was that an experience! Dekker is a writer I can't get enough of but he twirks my brain in ways I don't appreciate. LOL

My husband and I are really enjoying Godless. That Ann Coulter is something else. I wish my brain were half as sharp as hers!
