We sold our home...in five days! OK, we didn't sell it, God did. We prayed it would sell quickly so we wouldn't have to be away from dh long...be careful what you pray for! It feels like life has shifted into overdrive and all I can do is hang on for dear life!
We sold our home to the first people who looked at it. We had been praying that our home would be a blessing to the new owners as it has been to us. The people came to look and stayed for over an hour. We drove by and saw them sitting in our living room. What were they doing? We later found out from the realtor that they were praying over the house and whether or not they should buy it! How cool is that? They made an offer at 10:30 that same night. God is so awesome!
We leave Tuesday to go house hunting in Texas. We'll return to Idaho for a week to close on this house and let the mover's pack everything up. Have you ever felt like you had so much to do that you were paralyzed and weren't sure what to do first? That's how I'm feeling right now. Any advice or prayers would not only be appreciated, but coveted. For those of you sweet friends who have been praying for us along the way, I can't thank you enough. Your prayers and God's amazing grace are giving us peace in the midst of chaos.
I'm not sure how much I will be around for the next few weeks. We will be without a house for a month at the least...sigh. At least I know we are not on this roller coaster alone. God put us here, so He will certainly take care of us.
That's wonderful that you house has sold so quickly. Wow! I can just imagine how crazy you feel right now with everything going through your head that needs to be done. I'll be praying for you that everything else runs very smoothly, too!
God bless you! I look forward to meeting you IRL someday when life settles in for you and yours.
Woo-hoo! God is AWESOME! I'll be praying for sure (have been and still will)! Will miss hearing from you for a while. Susan (mamaduso) is taking a loooonnngg break. Poo! I hate not "hearing" from people.

Fantastic! Praise the Lord!
I really can relate to that paralyzed feeling! I will be praying for you to be organized and have clarity to know how to proceed.
My biggest piece of advice is to ask for help. The most productive day of packing I had was when one friend came over for the entire day to help me and my husband, while another friend watched our (the packing friend's & my) 6 kids in addition to her own 5. Then another family brought dinner over and ate with us on our back deck. These are the times when the body of Christ can really come together and minister to one another. Precious memories are made in the process. But people don't always know how to help unless you ask. So, ask! And when/if they ask how/if they can help, take them up on their offer, let them know, and don't feel bad about it or worry that you're keeping them from something else they need to do, or assume that they're too busy. (All mistakes I've made numerous times!)
I wish I could come over and help myself, instead, I'll be praying that God directs the right people to minister to you. Be blessed!
That is so great! It seems like when we just leave things in God's hands and not TRY to make things happen it works out so much better. I can't wait to hear how the new house hunt goes.

Wow, that is AMAZING. God truly did answer your prayers. The paralyzed feeling? yep. I'm with you there. :)
But, what an exciting journey you're about to embark on. Your husband and kids are the core of your life (next to Christ of course) and where they are....YOU WILL BE HAPPY.
I keep reminding myself that. If all my friends someday moved far away, (or me for that matter) and my extended family as well, I would survive. Why? Because the man in the other room and the 4 kids running wild today? That's what counts. That's the comfort zone. They make whatever comes bearable.
I know you feel the same way. I pray that this move will really draw you to your husband in a fresh way. You'll see that he's your true best friend and partner.
I'm sure you know all this, but I've been repeating these things to myself lately and it's really comforting. Change is hard!
Rejoicing with you over the quick sale of your home. I am praying for you as you travel to Texas to find the home the Lord has for you there and for all of the emotions that surround you during this time of transition.

I see God finally had you pick up your tent and move, trusting completly in him. That is good, it will help you to understand more fully God's soverignty in our lives. The daily, sometimes hourly, musings of a homeschooling mom of four surviving on prayer, friendship and lots of Starbucks. Some days my cup runs over and some days it all spills out the cracks...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
