Our first Texas 4th of July felt like a scene straight out of Mayberry. A small town setting in the park, flags waving, the sounds of the symphony floating over the evening breeze and dazzling fireworks launched over the pond. The kids played tag and enjoyed snow cones. While I am still hesitant to say Texas is home, memories like these make it feel more real every day.
I pray the celebration of our nation's freedom and independence will never become routine. May we always remember those who fought so bravely to ensure our right to live and celebrate freely.
It was a picture perfect day with BBQ(Steaks) and mushrooms. The park in Terrell was certainly a scene from a Norman Rockwell picture. Beautiful sky, great music and a tremendous fireworks show. All of the Snodgrass family and friends can be assured that grandad & MeMe are taking care of this beautiful family. With God's help we will make the entire group Texan's....even Mike. i will still cheer for the broncos. Hope everyone has a great summer and Angie it will stop raining soon. Maybe.
Angela,
This sounds like a great place to call home. You've painted a beautiful picture here.
Thanks for the encouraging words you left for me!
Love,
Karen
I was going to leave you a message, but I wasn't sure how often you check them. I don't see them sometimes, if my computer keeps me logged in. Anyways. I signed up for that training hearts site. I would love it if you could do it for me and tell me how you do too. I am usually a pretty fast learner, if someone shows me how. Do you want to email me? And then we could exchange information. I don't know what you need to do that.
thank you sooo much, Maybe someday I could have a cool blog lol.

Is Texas as patriotic as they say? Since we're near the Naval Base on Whidbey Island this 4th was the best one ever. It was totally patriotic and brought to mind the true meaning of the day.
The daily, sometimes hourly, musings of a homeschooling mom of four surviving on prayer, friendship and lots of Starbucks. Some days my cup runs over and some days it all spills out the cracks...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
