I was doing a little blog hopping this afternoon while the kids are doing their quiet reading and ran across a great post on gratitude over at I have to say. It got me thinking about my own list.
Today I am thankful for ~
One day of cooler temperatures. I could open the windows and pretend for a moment it was fall.
The way my sweet Emma says her prayers every chance she gets.
Being blessed by Austin's thoughtfulness before we even woke up this morning. He awoke early to the sound of the garbage truck. Remembering that we had forgotten to take the cans to the curb, he quickly got up and took them out. What an awesome young man he is becoming.
The way Greyson can't walk past me without a hug.
Connor's ability to make me laugh one moment and think deeply the next.
The sweet smell of a blossoming friendship.
The indulgence of a second cup of coffee this afternoon as the boys and I snuggled up to hear the next chapter from our current read aloud.
Expecting my husband home early today. It makes my heart happy.
Looking forward to time spent tonight building new friendships.
I am so glad you asked this question! I find that remembering what I am thankful for helps me to be content with the way my life is right now, to be happy with the way the Lord has clothed me.
I am thankful for Fall! It makes me feel young and alive! I am thankful for a new group of girlfriends that is working hard at being there for each other. I am thankful for my relationship with my husband continuing to grow and deepen. I am thankful for the peace in my homeschool right now. I am thankful that my son is potty trained, my oldest is showing me love and my middle is getting more of my attention. There's so much more, but that is what I will leave you with.

the garbage thing...your son would have been a hero in my book. It stinks not having it go out when it needs to!
I appreciate that the 4 kids took all the groceries out of the truck and put them on the counter for me to sort....it helps! $250 in groceries is a lot1
I am thankful for fresh, cool air. It has been so hot where I am. Today the high was 85. We were able to open the windows and enjoy.

The daily, sometimes hourly, musings of a homeschooling mom of four surviving on prayer, friendship and lots of Starbucks. Some days my cup runs over and some days it all spills out the cracks...and I wouldn't have it any other way.
