Yuck, yuck, yuck. You're gonna EAT that thing?? We have rattlers in the woods behind our house, and they really give me the creeps. I grew up with snakes everywhere (in Trinidad, West Indies) so you'd think I'd be used to them! Eleanor
p.s. GREAT Pictures!

Aug. 29, 2005 - Ok...so there is one more thing I don't like about living in the south...

SNAKES!!! Especially venous snakes, but any snake, really. Down here by the big swamp (Everglades) we have water moccasins more than rattlers....and they will chase you! For many years I've thought it would be nice to live in Ireland where I'm told St. Patrick had chased all the snakes away! BTW...I've eaten rattlesnake...it is a lot like chicken...only tougher.

Ewwwwww. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

We have copperheads where I live. I've heard of my dh and bil seeing them around here, but THANK GOD I haven't. I did see one one day at the Sugarlands Visitors Center in the National Park. It was about 2 feet from my dd (who was about 3 at the time.) Will have to find the picture I took of it after my daughter was brought to saftey.

So, did you eat it yet?
