This was another slightly crazy week. I am so thankful this upcoming week is much slower. The week after that is NOT, though.
Our book this week: The Finest Horse in Town
On Monday, N had a visit from his Early Interventionist (EI) and they had fun. She has been coming for over 2 years and we love her a lot.
The boys had soccer on Tuesday and N had school.
N had an MRI on Wed. and had to be put to sleep for it. The IV was the worst part. We'll hear about the results this week. However, on the way to the MRI we had a call about his c-spine x-ray last week and it looks like he may have atlanto axial instability (AAI). This is common with T21 kids, but something that no one thought he had. The x-ray was just a routine exam that we expected to be negative. So, he'll have an appt. with a neurosurgeon soon to find out more.
On Thur. I had a homeschool support group meeting.
On Friday, N had school and the older boys and I ran a ton of errands!!
Yesterday, Tom and E went to a dove hunt sponsored by his company. They had a wonderful time. E will be asking for his own shot gun soon, I'm sure. LOL! They mostly spent time in a deer stand watching everyone.
Tom is off tomorrow, but we'll be schooling. (Next week is our week off because I'm headed out of town mid-week for 4 nights.) Our book this week is The Duchess Bakes a Cake. At the end of the week, we'll have completed our first quarter of the school year!!
We're taking a field trip in the morning to our favorite apple orchard. E can't wait to play on their cool toys and K just wants to eat his weight in apples. Sounds like a perfect day. |
