Seasons at Home

Calling all homeschoolers young and (old)! Our children are running a story page in our new magazine, Seasons at Home. This is a chance to let our children have yet another place to share their homeschooling creativity. They can contribute art, their stories or poems, science experiments, it's just endless! Our children would love to hear from yours! Gifts are given to our chosen contributors; Each time we will try to choose a different age appropriate 'homeschool' gift. We have two books, one for a boy and one for a girl (selections this time are for ages 8-12; unabridged and moral!) When a homeschooling mom or dad contributes, we will give ad space if you have a business or a bio, if you don't. The School Room section is a great place for any mom or dad contribution. Click to see more about the magazine or see 'Write For Us'
You can also just email me at ripe4harvest@msn.com
Spring issue deadline is Dec. 20th.

More Colonial Finds

We lived in Colonial Williamsburg for 6 years.  What a beautiful place.  We had access to all the sites and learning there was to offer.  This website is great, you are able to view tons of clothing, food, decorations, maps.... the other site I found has animated maps, and (yeah!) links to primary sources for American History.  What a find!  Enjoy!!

#1  Colonial Williamsburg

#2  Animated Atlas

This has been a great help to our colony study, I can't wait to post our finished products.  The kids are off to the library right now to find more books.  Blessings, Theresa

What were you thinking? How could you leave such a place. We were just there for a family vaction 9-15/17-06. It was great. I would love to live there. DH always said he would like to live as a piorneer. He wouldn't last very long. He is a picky eater. They put on enactments.

Oct. 25, 2006 - Hi Theresa

I wanted to write you back but I wasn't sure how. lol
You and your family were actors at the museum?
You had asked me how much time I spent out of the house...well I still haven't figured it out! I do not drive and my husband usually works every week day. My biggest days out are spent at the grocery store and/or the library!
But our family spends much of the day out-of-doors..rain or shine or snow:-)
I love your pretty blog!
