Seasons at Home

Calling all homeschoolers young and (old)! Our children are running a story page in our new magazine, Seasons at Home. This is a chance to let our children have yet another place to share their homeschooling creativity. They can contribute art, their stories or poems, science experiments, it's just endless! Our children would love to hear from yours! Gifts are given to our chosen contributors; Each time we will try to choose a different age appropriate 'homeschool' gift. We have two books, one for a boy and one for a girl (selections this time are for ages 8-12; unabridged and moral!) When a homeschooling mom or dad contributes, we will give ad space if you have a business or a bio, if you don't. The School Room section is a great place for any mom or dad contribution. Spring issue deadline is Dec. 20th.

Weekly Find (Montessori)

A friend of mine is a montessori teacher and gave me this resource years ago.  At that time they didn't have much on there but last night when I got looked again they have expanded their catalog quite a bit.  Some of their products were quite expensive back then also but I've noticed they are carrying many products that are super reasonable.  One thing I found were art puzzles 8 to a set, they are 5" x 7" for $18.00.  That really isn't too bad and my children love puzzles.  I don't necessarily agree with all of Maria Montessori's ideas, but some learning techniques and product suggesstions fit well in our school.

Blessings, Theresa

P.S.  Thanks for the grammar contributions below friends!  I am not interested in workbooks but am using our outloud reading and copywork for grammar right now.  :)
