If you subscribe for just a year, you actually (while supplies last) will receive 25 curriculum-type gifts from various vendors. The value is huge – hundreds of dollars' worth of freebies to you. No strings attached – except that TOS only has about 2000 of these “gift baskets” left in their inventory. First come, first served. Here's the link which explains more, below. You can even view all the gifts and find out how they'll arrive. Hurry, though, they go really fast. Last time the magazine did this they sold out about two months early.

The above link will show you the pictures of your free gifts plus give you all the details.

(end with a few more words to close – whatever you'd like to say is fine)
----------------------------------
That's it!  Once you've sent the above out to your group of 40 or more, follow steps 1 and 2. Even if you decide to decline taking part in your FREE physical gift package (no strings attached except that we only have 750 total shipments), you can still proceed to step 2 for a chance to win that laptop! Again, thank you for all you do for the homeschool community. It is Paul's and my great pleasure to get these wonderful hardcopy gifts to you in the mail – and of course we'll even cover the shipping. Literally no strings attached here – pay NOTHING. You're going to feel like it's Christmas when this big-value package arrives! I sure hope you are one of the 750 who make it in!

God bless your family and your whole group,

Homeschool Freebie Directory

From The Old Schoolhouse magazine:

Do you ever wish that you could really get a good look at a homeschool product before buying it? Sure, each company’s ad says that it’s the best, but you’re still left wondering, "Is it best for MY family?"

With our new Homeschool Freebie Directory, you can find out for sure. We've pulled together forty different homeschool companies offering a wide variety of products for you to try. Just visit our online Freebie Directory page to learn how you can claim the freebies that interest you.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED.

You’ll find everything from handwriting and reading products to science and social studies resources, subscriptions to educational websites, unit studies, e-Books, music lessons, fun homeschool products and more. There truly is something for everyone!

You're welcome to come back to the site as often as needed to check out all the offers. In fact, you have an entire year to explore and discover the many engaging resources and interesting products that are featured.

Everyone loves to try samples! Why do you think Sam’s Club and Costco stores are such a hit? Surely we aren't the only ones who frequent the yummy sample tables? (We just love those scrumptious, tantalizing little eggroll thingies.) Having a "taste" truly is THE way to try before you buy.

Here’s more great news. There are plenty of freebies for everyone! Tell your friends and homeschool support groups so that they, too, can enjoy the free gifts – NO STRINGS ATTACHED. What a fantastic way for them to discover new homeschool resources and products without having to actually buy ANYTHING (unless, of course, they want to)!

FREE Admission to Bishop Museum Jan. 25

Bishop Museum and Hawai`i Maritime Center will both offer FREE ADMISSION for Hawaii residents with proof of residency and Active and Retired Military and their families with ID on January 25, 2008. Bishop Museum is offering the free admission program in celebration of the birthday of Bishop Museum founder Charles Reed Bishop (1822-1915), who memorialized his wife, Bernice Pauahi Bishop (1831-1884) with the opening of Bishop Museum in 1889 in her honor.

On view at the Hawai`i Maritime Center is The Canoe: An Alaskan and Hawaiian Tradition. This exhibit, produced in cooperation with the Alaskan Native Heritage Center, presents a comparison and contrast
of Hawaiian and Alaskan canoe voyaging traditions. Both Museums will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
