There is no getting around it. We are in one of those times. We are in the midst of so many trials it feels completely overwhelming. I thank God that they aren't serious health problems or anything catastrophic, just lot's of the not so fun stuff that life throws everyone's way now and then. We have had plumbing problems, a broken washing machine (which thank the Lord is finally fixed), a broken dishwasher, trouble with the brakes in the car, a surprise visit from the landlord (necessitating A LOT of spring cleaning and some painting, etc...) and a rejected offer on a house we bid on. Oh, and a fight with my dad which is highly unusual. Sigh... All these things of course put a strain on the finances, relationships, patience, schedules, and plans. We feel strongly that God is pushing us to move - it's been almost comical how one thing after another points to that conclusion. But, with this door closing and no new door opening as of yet, we are feeling a bit like the Isrealites in the desert. Of course no one escapes these trials in life and nor should we want to, because they are the times that refine us and make us more Christlike if we look to God for guidance and wisdom. But, I sure will be glad when this time of pruning is past!

In the trenches with you-lots of pruning going on here, too. Just taking my eyes off the Lord for a minute amidst the waves really makes me me dwell on the depths of the swells. This post was very encouraging to me. Thanks. Holly
