Week 6 of Term 2
Last week and, so far, this week, we have slowed down a lot. I am trying to get ready for the baby so the dc are doing mostly independent work. I have really slacked off on the read-alouds these last two weeks.

-
Timed reading drills from Victory Drill Book; her top speed on one of the last lessons in the book (multi-syllabic words) was 85 words per minute. Just for comparison's sake, I timed myself reading the same page and I read it at a rate of 113 words per minute.

Thursday, February 16 - I posted this on the wrong date.. sorry
Hi, Missy! I hopped here from the Ambleside board.
We have enjoyed Apologia's Astronomy and is now loving Zoology. We're finding that there are aspects in the book that we've covered in our past studies already but that's to be expected in a subject as big as Zoology (or even just winged creatures). We just do what we need to and have fun with it.
I admire you for putting your schedules here. (I'm a 1st time visitor)
I use Ambleside as a resource, but we don't follow the sched. Isn't it awesome to have Ambleside to help us though?

As always, I love to read about your week! It inspires me and gives me great ideas for when M is older. =)
Sunday, February 19 - Hello!
Missey,
I have read your blog recently, but I didn't know you lived in AR. I just joined the AR AO/HEO loop and I saw you on there. I live in Saline County and am just beginning AO. I would love to get some encouragement and questions answered. I look forward to talking to you more about it.
Blessings,
Becky
