Thank You

Hi, this is Missey's husband Tom. I just wanted to let everyone know how much your prayers, words, and cards have meant to us. We are getting stronger with your help. Your kindess to our family truely has been (and is) the glue to help our broken hearts be put back together. Baby Missey Kate is doing fine, she has already past her birth weight and eating well. There is so much I want to "say" to all of you but time is short, I must get back to packing. Again, I want to say Thank You and may God bless you the way he has blessed me. I do hope to post again soon to tell you what it was like to have Melissa as my wife.

God bless you all,

Husband to Melissa, Tom Gray

Friday, March 10 - Thank you ...

For taking time, in your grieving, to "speak" to us.

When you are ready, we would love to hear more about Missey. From what we can see, and what we do know, she was a Godly woman who served her God by serving her family -- setting a wonderful example for many.

I love the messages in her blog, and in the Beechick list's many messages from Missey. She had great things to share with all, and your children can be proud that she was their Mom, as it is obvious that you are proud that she was your wife.

They will rise up and call her blessed. I am glad she recorded so much, that they might know her in this way.

Prayers, prayers, and more prayers ~
Deb

Tom, this is Michelle. I just wanted to check in on you guys. I'm glad to hear that the baby is doing great. I have been reading all the things that people have written about Missey and Her Blog page. I had forgotten what a Driven woman she was. Even as kids, she was always on top of things. She obviously touched a lot of peoples lives, even those she never met. It doesn't surprise me. I'm working on a Compilation of memories from Our Adventures together. It is going to take some time to get it all together, but I wanted you to know that I will get it to you and the Kids when i finish. It means a lot to me to do this as well. I'm so Thankful that through all those years of growing up, that she was my Friend. I'm truly blessed to have had Missey for a Best Friend. She was the Sister I never had and I loved her.

Please call me if you need anything or just someone to talk to. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and the kids.

Love, Michelle

Thank you so much for keeping in touch, Tom. So many of us are praying for your family and it is wonderful to hear little updates. We'd love to hear more when you have the chance and feel up to it. Missey's passing has affected so many of us, on many different levels...we are taking stock of our own lives and families, and making changes. As well, she has left a marvelous legacy of help and support for us homeschooling Moms. We appreciate her work and ministry so very much. You and your children have much to be proud of. It is a blessing to be a small part of your lives during this time. May God care for you in a special way and continue to watch over your family and provide for your needs. Love to all of you, Danielle

Tom,
Missey and I began blogging at about the same time. Sadly, I never met her. I've learned some about her recently. It seems that she was an amazing lady who loved the Lord and her family.

I included a brief note to you in our recent TOS Single Parent e-Newsletter. My heart breaks for you and those sweet blessings of yours during this time. There are obviously many, many people touched by your wife who are praying for you and your children.

Beside my bathroom mirror hangs a framed print. It has hung there since the day we moved into our home. And it reads the same quote as Missey's blog: A mother's heart is a child's schoolroom.
And now every morning when I read it, I now think of Missey and her legacy. And pray for you.

Friday, March 31 - How are you?

I am Cindy Bell from Texas.
I did not know Missey or your family. I learned about her from a fellow homeschooling mom. But when I heard about her and read some of her entries, I wept with how precious a person she was. What a wonderful mom! I want you to know that I pray for you and your children every day without fail. Being a single parent is extremely tough, but being the single parent of greiving children is even tougher. Lean on the Lord, Tom. He will lift you up and you are surrounded by people all over the country that are praying for you and your children. May your hearts be comforted in Christ.

You have left an everlasting impression and treasure for each of your blessings!

Dear Tom and Family,

You are in our thoughts and prayers. We can only imagine how difficult this past weekend must of been for you all...Yet we hold onto the hope of God's Loving Arms surrounding each and everyone one of you...comforting you all through this time.

Even as time passes we are reminded of Missy's servants heart...and the many wonderful examples she set for everyone that knew her. She is a blessing this day and always.

On Mother's Day your family was close to my heart and in my thoughts as I envisioned the Lord's presence around your family... filling that part of you that no one could ever fill.

It is my hope and prayer that you will one day be able to update us as to how everyone is doing... we are all looking forward to the "Praise Report" you will have. God sees us through all things...

Wishing You and Your Family a Blessed Day... Week... Future...

In Christ,

Deborah
