Posted in Monday's To Do List

For Today..
Outside My Window... My daughter is watering the cucumber, pumpkin, strawberry and bean plants.
I am thinking... about posting on my blog about the wisdom quiz/ marble test we did yesterday at Table Time. (Have you lost all your marbles too? Better find out hehe)
I am thankful for... God's provision, and that He hears our prayers.
From the kitchen... Smallest son is washing out his cereal bowl, dishes to be done, crock pot to start, grocery list to make.
I am creating... more eBay listings.
I am going... to head to the grocery store, organize curriculum I already have for next Fall.
I am wearing... my Adidas walking pants, white shirt, socks from our a.m. walk.
I am reading... many things. I just got the bookmooch book "Picking up the Pieces" in the mail, and "A Thomas Jefferson Education with DVD" from a fellow RCer. Also my oldest is narrating "Electric Universe- the Shocking True Story of Electricity" - all very interesting.
I am hoping... my prayers will be answered before September.
I am hearing... my computer humming, birds chirping.
Around the house... older boys are lifting weights while doing math, youngest boy is brushing teeth, or most likely playing with legos.
One of my favorite things... seeing my item sell on eBay lol

The other day my youngest son (age 7) picked up one of the many Bibles laying around the living room and randomly opened it to the book of Esther...
"Hmm Esther. I think I've heard of her." He begins reading (the KJV) and about 45 minutes later comes to me and says.
"I read the whole book of Esther! And do you know what? It's not just verses, it's a real STORY!"

Congratulations America!! Your government schools and life-styles have produced the Dumbest Generation to date. 50 Million Minds Diverted, Distracted, Devoured: http://www.dumbestgeneration.com/home.html
"If it's true that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, a new survey suggests that some of the least dangerous people in the world may be America's 17-year-olds." - CBS report
According to recent reports from government agencies, foundations, survey firms, and scholarly institutions, most young people in the United States neither read literature (or fully know how), work reliably (just ask employers), visit cultural institutions (of any sort), nor vote (most can’t even understand a simple ballot). They cannot explain basic scientific methods, recount foundations of American history, or name any of their local political representatives. What do they happen to excel at is – each other. They spend unbelievable amounts of time electronically passing stories, pictures, tunes, and texts back and forth, savoring the thrill of peer attention and dwelling in a world of puerile banter (childish drivel) and coarse images. (I can attest for this: when our old public school allowed every student to have their own hotmail account, that is ALL my kids ever received from their PS "friends").

I'm pruning, purging, and getting rid of old clothes, things, and files on my computer. Thought I would add this one here though in case someone could use it.
A couple of shortcuts for symbols...

And I made some directions for PSP (Paint Shop Pro) on how to make a picture tube:
- Find graphic with no shadowing, white background .jpeg

- In PSP go to layers and "promote background layer"

- Under Image, increase color depth to 16 million colors if using PSP-9 or 8 or 16 bits/channel

- On the left where your "selection tool" is, click the "magic wand" on the drop down list. Mode: replace, Match RGB, Tolerance:0, Continuous checked, No feathering.

-
Click on the white area of the graphic. You will see little "marching ants" around the figures.

-
Just click your DELETE key once or twice and the white disappears. Next go up top to SELECTIONS and hit SELECT NONE.

-
No you can go up to FILE and EXPORT as a .gif or .png to retain the transparency, or export as a picture tube to use inside your PSP program. Have fun!
