First day back

Posted in Ponderings

Well, we started up our lessons today. Chantelle was complaining because her friends in school have today off. ( It's one of the things I enjoy about homeschooling. I don't have to follow the same schedule as the school system, I just have to make sure the kids are being taught at least 180 days out of the year. ) Matt is excited to start up his lessons again. Odd child. LOL.

We are supose to get 10" of snow starting tonight and into tomorrow. Chantelle has a doctors appointment tomorrow so I need to reschedule that. I do not drive in the snow if it is more than 2". It's not that I can't handle it, my town does not plow or sand the streets up to my house until the day after or 2 days after a storm. I live on the very top of 3 hills so trying to get back up the hills to my home in the snow is not fun. I remember one year we got 3 feet of snow in one night and our neighbors and my husband had to use their snow blowers to clear the street so people could get to work.
