The Creation Museum is AMAZING!!!!!!!

For many years now, everytime we go to MN we have seen info. about a place called the Creation Museum.  Our curiousity was piqued and we found out about Answers in Genesis.  Wow, what an amazing apologetics ministry!!!  We were so blessed and decided about 3 or 4 years ago that we would like to support the ministry and the museum.  We decided to become Charter Members and have paid on our membership ever since!  Well, this past week, before their Grand Opening on May 28th, they had a special preview week for charter members.  So, on Monday we got in our car and drove about 5 hours to the Creation Museum.  IT sooooo surpassed our expectations!!!!!!!  We were absolutely blown away by it!!!  There were times when my husband and I were both moved to tears by what God is doing and will do through this place!!  What a humbling thing to be a small part of something that has such potential to change people's lives FOR ETERNITY!!!!

If any of you have not heard of the Creation Museum, google it at Creation Museum or Answers in Genesis and then click on the Creation Museum.

All in all that day, we drove for 9 and a half hours (522 miles) to visit the museum for 3 and a half hours!  Yes, a little (o.k. or a LOT) nutty, but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!  Have any of you heard of the museum?  Have you been?  Have you done any totally crazy, long car rides for a short event?

God blessings!:)

Hi Angie!! I amso glad that your trip went well. Mark and I read an article about the Creation Museum on the ABC website. One part in particular was interesting, I'll paraphrase (but not much)

Some serious scientists were interviewed and voiced thier concerns about the fact that the museum is so technologically impressive.
"We are worried that kids will return to school in the fall and say to their science teacher "I went to this really spiffy museum this summer and what you are teaching is a lie."

Really and truly Angie, that was what the article said!!! Totally cool, huh?

See ya tomorrow night. :)

I just missed you. Your comment notification came in just as I posted my update. Come back by and see all the pictures!
James and I were discussing trying to get in a trip to the museum this summer. We'd love to go see it. With 2 starting college this fall, our "school year" traveling will come to a halt pretty much. However, I am not as energetic as you, and we will be finding a hotel. Many moons ago we would have done something like that. We probably did, although, I can't think of one right now. The closest that comes to mind is when we lived in Missisippi, we jumped in the car spur of the moment, drove 8 1/2 hours up here for a 3 day trip. The deal was that I was 6 months pregnant, and I preceeded to hike to Alum Cave! So not the same thing, cooky none-the-less. I'll keep thinking.

Hey, friend,

Been thinking about you a lot lately. How exciting that you got to go to the museum. I didn't realize you were charter members, very cool! We just got back from it a few days ago. We went to the press conference and ribbon cutting on Saturday. Protesters were already setting up outside the gates....sheeesh.

We have to get together soon...I miss your family!

Love,

Hi Angie,

It was nice meeting you at ATIC on Mon! Hopefully we'll cross paths again sometime.

I am REALLY excited about the Creation museum! My mom, who lives in OR, is also a charter member and wants to come soon to go. I read a news article saying that they were expecting protesters opening day.

I get sick really easy too. When we go to Dwood I mostly just watch everyone else. In the motion theater I have to sit in non motion seats and even then I can't look at the screen for most of the movie. It's sad! I always loved all that stuff, but after child #4 I suddenly had this terrible motion sickness.

Have a blessed day!
