Loving, Learning and Living by God's Grace:)

Please pray.....

for my sweet sister Amy and her family.  They had to put down their 12+ year old Lab, Sam,  today.:(:(:(  They are very heartbroken!:(:(  For those of you who are pet lovers and for those who aren't, please pray!  Thanks!:):)

Life continues to move on and the summer seems to just be flying right on by!!!  We have gotten to see some family and some dear friends and have been trying to get our home more organized so that it will run more effeciently.:)  (I know that that will probably be a never ending goal!:(  But with God.... all things are possible!!:):)

What have you been up to this summer?  Are you gonna start schooling again soon or have you just kept right on schooling through the summer?  I LOVE!!:):) to hear what others are up to and what is working for them!!

God bless!:)

Jul. 18, 2007 - Thank you

Precious Angie and family,
Thank you so much for your prayers love and support as we are going through this super sad time with losing our Sammy. Your support means the world to me. I feel like I'll never stop crying. I know I will but right now the sorrow is so literally raw and literally heartbreaking. Everywhere I look in the house I expect to see his sweet face and he is not there. Ben and Emma and I layed flowers on his brick cross grave marker and talked to him and cryed. What we wouldn't give to have another day with our sweet Sammy. Life is so precious wether it is a person or a pet, everyday is to cherish.

I can't say it enough, thanks so much for being there, listening and for your prayers. You are so priceless and special to me and I love you more than words can say.

Love and miss you,
Amy

I'm so sorry about your friend's dog. I had a 16 year old poodle who died several years ago, and a 12 year old chow mix that died just a couple of years ago. It is so,so hard.
We've started doing a little bit of schooling this month. Marissa's writing her time tables trying to memorize them, and doing a little copywork (all takes about 10-15 min.) I'm working with Daniella for a few min. in Before the Code. Today we just started learning about coin values, and she sometimes does some copy work. Of course we're doing lots of reading, puzzles, games, drawing etc. (which make up a lot of our school anyway)

Hi Mrs. J,
I tagged you on my blog. Please go there for the questions.
I am not sure why, but my keyboard is slippery (greasy), I just realized that. LOL. I don't usually eat while I'm on the computer, only chips. :-)
It was fun playing with C. and G. I hope we can get together again soon!

Hellllllloooooooooo...remember me......I'm Shay (ha-ha). I hope everyone is doing super...we're all good here. It's been a good summer, not too much going on. Just a little school here and there and little travel here and there, and then just being at home...which I LOVE!!!

Also, I'm sorry to hear about your sister losing her dog :( I can only imagine how sad that would be.

Just wanted to pop over and say Hi :)

Love,
Shay

It's amazing how animals get so dear to our hearts, isn't it? We are talking about moving out West, and we are determined to take the rest of our family - our goats!! Matt isn't so sure!
I told him I would rather leave the dogs than the goats. They are like friends.

Anyway, we haven't continued book work, but we have continued with other projects and added the math in there - and the science... Jocelyn is in the kitchen right now trying to figure out how to make raw goats' milk cheese!! Math, science and homemaking!

Rachel has actually gotten her saxon 8/7 out this week and is just working in it on her own. Weird! No, really, we are always "doing" learning - like I'm sure most homeschool families are!

Stop by my blog and see the Homeschool Meme I made up if you like to read other peoples ideas/plans! I know a lot of people have done it.
