What Will You Choose???
When we choose to see things from a focused viewpoint....
We are choosing to trust in the Lord....
When we choose to allow things to become unfocused....
We are no longer trusting our life to Him....
When we choose to accept what comes our way in life....
We are choosing to have a happy and joyous attitude in all things....
This shows our children that God CAN be trusted....
It is teaching them that everything in our life happens for a reason....
Nothing happens that God has not allowed....
(This picture is of a dear friend of our family. She is not a whiner or complainer in anyway. I actually shot this picture playing around with her. It was a perfect picture to fit the point I was trying to make so I used it.)
But when we teach our children to complain and whine....
We are teaching them to be discontent....
Their life becomes a lie....
They begin to believe they are always victims of their circumstances....
They will then have a tendency to become bitter at life....
Causing them to want to hide from their trials instead of facing them with trust and joy....
This then causes them to become fearful in life....
They have now learned that God can NOT be trusted....
When we choose to allow God to shape us through our trials....
We have given Him the liberty to begin growing us from the inside out....
Through that growing something amazing begins to take place from within us....
Those trials we suffered through begin to take on a form....
They blossom into something amazingly beautiful in our life....
A beauty that is so intricate and breathtaking....
That your children will be in absolute awe by it....
Causing them to one day grow a desire within themselves....
To want to imitate trusting God also....
Through life's lessons....
We store up so many little seeds of faith to pass on....
Those seeds of faith have a way of blowing into the lives of our children....
Just by them watching us....
Those little seeds will become planted and begin to take root....
After much time, those faith seeds will begin to grow and blossom....
Into the hearts and lives of our children....
We then get to watch them pick and choose to follow God on their own....
The best part is when we see them enjoy doing so with hearts full of joy....
Even during those times of trouble....
So as you can see....
How we choose to view the world....
Matters much more than we ever imagined....
Because our children are always there watching us....
Through their eyes of innocence....
Eventually, there will come a day that their eyes will no longer have that innocence about them....
They will have become a product of what they witnessed through their years of watching us....
So what you choose to do today....
Is what is growing and forming within your child's heart and life....
What they are witnessing spiritually in your life....
Is what they will eventually blossom into tomorrow....
Give them a life full of joy, peace, love, trust and faith....
This can be as simple as choosing to model it for them through your own life....
When you love and trust the Lord in all things....
Through the good as well as through the bad....
You are choosing to teach your children contentment....
When you choose to do this, you too will be blessed by joy....
Every time you experience seeing the joy, love, faith and trust in the lives and hearts of your children....
You will be filled with an overwhelming JOY of your own!!!
Bless all of you mothers!! Remember you are giving your children the gift of contentment!!! What an awesome gift!!
Dearest Lord, Thank you for growing me from the inside out. Thank you for touching the lives of each of these mothers who desire to do what is right in their own hearts! For those who may be struggling give them your strength Lord. Help them to do what is right for the benefit of their children. It isn't always easy Lord to choose to be joyful in the midst of our trials. Because of this Lord I pray that you will give each and every mother who reads this the ability to call upon you in their times of weakness. I pray you will out pour your spirit and your strength unto them when they call upon your name ! Thank you for all of the lessons I have learned in my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen~

Yes, I too want so much to be that Godly mother and teach (model) being content. Thank you so much for your wisdom and instruction in the Word of God and for your prayers. Be blessed in Jesus Name.
