Home Made Scented Hot/Cold Packs

These bags are made with organic grains, good quality essential oils and herbs. We also took festive looking material to sew the outer bags and then used plain material to make the inner bags that hold the grain, oils and herbs inside of them. Each bag has a drawstring sewn into them. The purpose of the outer bag is so that you can remove it and hand wash it if or when it gets dirty. We made them in all different sizes.
These packs can be stored in the freezer and used as an ice pack for injuries, headaches, inflammation of the sinuses, bruises etc. They hold the cold very well for long periods of time. If you need a hot pack you just take it out of the freezer and throw it into your microwave for approx. 1-3 minutes, depending on hot you want it or how cold it started. I use the hot pack for back pain, neck pain, arthritis relief, mid cycle cramping and much much more. The oils also help aide in the soothing and healing of the injured area. These packs will stay hot or cold for a very long time. When you are done you just store them in your freezer again inside a ziploc baggie. It is much easier to heat it up quickly then it is to get it cold so we keep them stored in our freezer at all times.
They made great gifts. We use ours in our home all the time!!!
I will be slowly posting pictures of the gifts we handmade for Christmas this year. These Hot/Cold packs are quite pricey in the stores so hand making them was fun, saves money and we enjoyed giving a gift that was of healing to those we love.
I have already been asked if I sell these. Yes they can be ordered if you cannot make your own or do not have the time to do so. We would love to make them for you. Just email me. I can quote you a price.
I will also be posting pictures of birthday festivities. We have 4 birthdays that take place between Thanksgiving and Christmas so we are busy. The children once again handmade lots of gifts for each other and handmade party items. Lots to share so keep checking back!
Hugs to you all Brenda |
