What are they Training to Be???
The Same yet So Different

My twins are very sweet in so many ways! Although they are identical in looks they are far from being identical in spirit and personality. One of them is very dainty in every way, a true girl in every sense of the word. She can spot something pretty a mile away and she just loves to be attached to me at the hip.

The other twin is also a girl but she has some tomboy in her also. She tends to be rougher, tougher and can spot an ATV a mile away (LOL) and she just loves to be attached to daddy at the hip.

My girls are always talking about how they are mommy training and training to be good helpers. One day the twin who is extra girly said, "I am mommy training" which caused the other one to pipe up and say, "Well I am daddy training." That was just too cute!

Thanks for the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe. HisCross and I made them this afternoon. Nummy. I used freshly ground Kamut flour instead of ww but I did use the brown sugar and Rapadura and not honey. The first batch was a bit undercooked and therefore, too crumbly---but oh so tasty. The second batch was perfect. Thanks for the nummy treat!!
I'll let you know how they turn out with honey.

Oh, btw, if you are trying to convert your sugar recipes to honey, start with this formula then adjust as needed.
Use 1/2 the amt of honey as sugar.
Cut a liquid by about 1/4 cup (since honey adds liquid)
Add and extra 1/2 tsp baking soda for each cup of honey used
Decrease baking temp by about 25 degrees cause honey tends to brown things more quickly.

I do this the first time I convert. After that, I make any adjustmenst needed for the next time.

Thanks so much for the info on conversions! I look forward to using it . I am glad you liked the recipe. I wanted you to know I made your recipe I told you I was going to try! It was SOOOO YUMMY!! I teaked it a bit because I can never follow a recipe LOL. I added some garlic and some fresh thyme and some chicken broth to it. I also added some extra veggies and some beans. I made some brown rice with chicken broth as the base and put the mixture over the rice. It was yummy! Thanks for the recipe it was a sure hit!

I am glad you liked the recipe. We thought it was good. I would have added more vegis but my crock pot isn't big enough. It was already overflowing with what I put in. I like your idea about serving it over rice with ?chicken?, ok, maybe tofu. I am working on the chicken thing. I keep trying for my two older boys (thebean is like me and would rather leave it). I ate some homemade chicken broth a couple times... I'm getting there. LOL

I was just looking through your great menus and was wondering if you had posted recipes for rice milk and the granola. Do I just go back through your other pages to find them?
