Well, the time has come and my dear sweet hubby is up in DC now and our daughter is now in Atlanta. I am still not understanding how this is in God's plan, but we both have faith. I want to share something that happened. I know that God speaks to us, but often we don't really think of Him as being 'right there' with us, ya know. Caring enough about our daily lives, our problems and mundaness. Anyway, about 8 days ago, I was making some coffee and thinking 'how in the world am I going to do this for a year, maybe even two' (remembering now that both of my sons are autistic and my older one is severe and here I am going to be a 'single mom' for awhile). Then these words came to me "Let not your heart be troubled." 2 or 3 times in fact. I know the whole verse, but I looked up various translations online. Here are a few of them. Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me. Let not your heart be troubled, you have faith in God, have faith also in me. Let not your heart be troubled, you trust in God, trust also in me. I was astonished that God had spoken so clearly to me that day and I cherish it in my heart. But now, here's something else for you to ponder. My husband left the other day and stopped to fill up the gas tank. At the gas station there were some salvation flyers and so he picked one up and looked at it. You know what the front of it said...."Let not your heart be troubled"......... WOW! So when I get down and stressed out, I will remember those words again and again. "Let not your heart be troubled." It's wonderful to be reminded just how much God loves and cares for us. God bless! |
