Out of the Mouths of Babes

I love hearing my three year old talk.  Sometimes he comes up with the funniest little tidbits and has us all cracking up!  Unfortunately, I seldom remember to write those quotes down, and with my memory - that usually means that they get lost, never to be heard again!  But the other day, he said something that really stuck with me - partly because it was so cute, but also because of the deeper meaning that he didn't even realize when he said it. 

The three kids and I were sitting at the dining room table having our Bible lesson.  The three year old had to use the bathroom - as happens all to often during our classtime.  He hopped down from the table and started to run into the other room, but as he was leaving he stopped.  He turned around and put his little hand up like a police officer motioning to "stop!".  He said, "Wait!  Don't learn without me!".  So we paused long enough for him to do his business and get back to the table. 

I laughed about it, but later when I thought more about what he'd said, it occured to me that I really should include him more in our schoolwork.  His little mind is like a sponge - ready to soak up everything!  I need to take better advantage of that.
