I Spoke Too Soon.Remember how yesterday I said that I'd rather be sleep deprived than sick??? Well, today I get to be both. Late last night I developed a sore throat and sinus headache, plus a low-grade temp., and I couldn't get to sleep until almost 3 AM. At 5:30 AM, my youngest woke me up crying that his head hurt. Sure enough, he was hot as a firecracker. Somehow I managed to get up and tend to him and not even grumble about it (by the sheer grace of God and nothing less!). I gave him some Children's Motrin... which he immediately walked into the living room and threw up on the chair and carpet. (God's grace was certainly still with me, 'cause I still didn't get upset with him.) So I took his temperature, it was 103*, and I waited awhile to see if it would go down. After a half hour, I assumed that the Motrin never made it down to where it could do any good, so I gave him some Children's Tylenol. Thankfully he kept that down, and within the hour his fever broke. But he's been a ball of energy ever since! -------------------------- Dh got up to go to work at 6, and was surprised to see us up. But, I think he was pleased to actually get some breakfast before he left for work. At least something good came of the whole ordeal! --------------------------- Now if I can just stay awake and in a vertical position long enough to take the little twerp to the doctor, which doesn't open until 9 AM. 7:40 AM - Jul. 5, 2007 - post comment
