Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.
He alone is our Rock and Our Salvation; he is our Fortess, we will not be shaken. Our salvation and our honor depend on God.
He is our mighty Rock, and our Refuge.
Psalm 62:5-7
A dear friend of mine has been living as a single mom now for over a year...her husband Brad is in Iraq fighting for freedom. She shared with me this week a couple videos that he and his buddies made recently. Brad was able to make it home for a two week break with Laura and the boys last month. They spent the time sitting on the beach in Florida. Now, they wait until Christmas to hopefully see him again. We constantly keep Brad and all the other men and women representing the USA over there in our prayers....every morning, every afternoon, and every evening before bed. We know that God is watching over them, guiding them, and giving them strength and courage to fulfill their mission. I can't even imagine having the courage that they have to live out and keep fighting every day they're there. It can only be attributed to God's strength and divine sovereignty. Please take a moment to watch these short videos, and pray for our soldiers. I will be keeping these videos permanently now in my links for future viewing.
I'm thankful for a group of men and women commited to the cause of freedom. My honorable discharge hanges here on the wall of my office. It is very hard for anyone to raise children alone, hopefully extended family supports those who's husbands and wives are serving. I'll have a man working at our day camp who will be home on leave - he want to spend his week with his son. It will be a great week of quality time for them!
God Bless America.
I'm so glad you posted these videos! I am always so thankful to see when people pray faithfully for our troops. My husband wasn't gone so long, but I thank God he was able to go, to tell so many people about the good things he saw happening there, and that God brought him home safe to see our little boy come into the world!
I love your sidebar pic.'s :)
Hi! My name is Deborah, and I want to thank you for taking a moment out of your busy day to visit Home For Him. I hope in some small way that you find encouragement and ideas for not only your homeschooling experience, but also your walk with God. I live in Kentucky with my Honey of 17 years, our three adventureous kids, and our small zoo of two dogs, a cat, a bird and three reptiles. Together, we have a heart for serving, and a love for studying God's Word and learning about His creation. Welcome to our world!
