Hi! Yes, I would say that I'm blessed, not lucky. I don't believe in luck, and so we don't use that word around here. :-)
We can speak Chinese. We've been here for almost 4 years. Yes, there are many people who can speak English -- educated people. But the bulk of citizens cannot speak any English. The curtain folks for example wouldn't know even one word besides hello.
