Quiet Day

Posted in Our School Day

Look what has sprung up in our flower patch!

I'm looking forward to many more! They had such fun planting them last fall.

Wednesday was a quiet day. TC read to me two chapters from her book. She has been reading from the JigSaw Jones series. It amazes me how much they learn on their own and with little direction. She has made such an improvement over the past two months. Sentences are sounding more clear and words are just about 100% correct. PC read to me a chapter from her book as well. She too is making great strides! Way to go girls!

With all that reading I darn near fell asleep! Oh... the breeze from the window and the fresh laundry smell. The pot roast smell coming from the kitchen. My daughters small quiet voices sharing a moment with mom. Very relaxing.....

Lol, ok! Come on over! Be glad to have company!

You know sometimes I am amazed at how quiet our house can get with five children in it.

The pot roast was yummy!

MMMmmmmm a pot roast! I am no good at cooking them.

It sounds like it was a nice day. My house is never quiet. It wasn;t with 3 boys and it's not with 4 boys either.

I have a silver token my daughter gave me that is a daffodil. It says"May God help me to remember that nothing can take my hope." and on the flipside it says "In the hush and quiet moments may God fill your soul and with His gentle presence give you peace and make you whole" by Kris Decker

The Yellow Daffodil symbolizes hope and encouragement. For that reason it has been adopted by bothe the Canadian and American Cancer Societies...

And you thought you were just taking a picture of a pretty flower (:
