Last night I got fed up and made porkchops and mushroom rice. Normally this is mixed together and baked in the oven. But since I don't have an oven I made it on an electric skillet and utilized my still working burners. I have to get over it I know but I really wanted to make this in the brand new oven friday. The kids even took a vote on what the first baked meal should be. It sure cooks different when it doesn't get baked. Pray with me that I either gain a fortitude of wisdom on how to survive without my oven or that we somehow get blessed with a working oven. This is the longest I have gone not baking anything and this isn't by choice. It's frustrating. I probably sound whiny and silly.
