It's Happened

You know when it's happened. That moment...you know. When all your discipline flies out the door.

You're standing bug eyed in front of your oldest son and hollering about something that he should have done and about something else he shouldn't have done. And well he just stands there and stares bug eyed back at you with a twinkle in his eyes. Because he's as tall as you or taller still. He knows that he's no longer your little boy.

Ya. It has happened today. I was tempted to do what my mom did when it happened to her. Jump up on the table. Sighhh....where did my little boy go?

Well, I don't have my oldest that grown up yet, but I do know what it's like to loose it like at and scream bug eyed at your child. Glad to know I'm not the only one it happens too. ;)

When my oldest did that I punched him in the gut (not too hard ;) ), he bent over and I smiled saying "You may be bigger - but I am tougher!" Now he is a full head taller than me, I miss my little boy! But teenagers are fun too, just keep smilin and laugh - alot! And chocolate, lots of chocolate!!!

but I wish I couldn't to the frustration. I have one grown and one at home. Both are over 6' and have been for years. I miss the little boys who I used to hold in my lap and who thought I knew everything. Some consolation though, they only question us for a few years then we are back to being smart again. LOL
Blessings,
Ginny
