Fundraisers, Bronchitis, and Murmurs, oh my.

It has certainly been a busy week here for us.  Anna's fundraiser is this Saturday night and we are very busy gearing up for that.  We are expecting several hundred people!  I just wrote my little "speech" for it and I cried reading it aloud for my husband to hear.  It's going to be a very emotional evening of blessing and supporting our daughter and her mission to Africa. (please pray for me as I recover from a cold!)

We finally took Emma (our youngest) to the doctor Monday after weeks of coughing and she is now on antibiotics for bronchitis.  Poor little one.  She played outside a bit today, since the weather was so lovely (a balmy 46 degrees with sun!) and came in coughing and coughing.

While we were at the doctor Monday, they said they heard a heart murmur and wanted to check it out more thoroughly, so off we went yesterday to a big city hospital for a echocardiogram of that precious heart of hers.  It looked awesome to me and all I could think of watching it tick away was how fearfully and wonderfully made we are, by a mighty, awesome and loving Creator!  I'll keep you all updated on Emma's heart!

The other thing we did this week was to go ahead and get pre-approved for a mortgage.  No problem!  I was thrilled to hear of our excellent credit score and thankful for the faithful provision of the Lord.  Please continue to pray for us for wisdom on whether to buy a house here or wait and see if the Lord opens a door for us into the ministry somewhere.  It's a pretty huge decision to make!

Till next time, Julie

    Praying for Emma's heart!
Congrat's on the preapproval. Boy is it a process! LOL We are getting toward the end of our home purchase...we are just waiting on the closing date. It has been such a process though--it's been a month since we first put in our first offer. So hoping we will find out soon and just get it over with so we can pack up and unpack! LOL
    God bless!

I was just thinking about your little Emma the other day. I'm sorry it turned into bronchitis. I'll be praying for the results of the echcardiogram and for the big fundraiser!
