About
I am a homeschooling mother and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) combining my experience and knowledge to help homeschool organizations such as co-ops, support groups, music and sports programs. HomeschoolCPA discusses the "business side" of running a homeschool organization. I'll also discuss running a home-based business while homeschooling and dabble a bit in other areas like personal finance and taxes.

What a great schedule! Our co-op is a Waldorf-inspired co-op, so we're offering monthly blocks based on the Waldorf curriculum. I lead the 3rd-4th grade kids, and our plans for this year are:
September: Harvest games and crafts with the entire co-op
October: Creating a Viking board game--drawing the board and modeling the pieces out of clay
November: Knot tying and braiding
December: Festival of lights with the entire co-op
January: Candle-dipping and decorating; maybe silk painting
February: Watercolor painting
March: Form drawing with an emphasis on free-hand geometry and Celtic knots
April: Local Geography (map making)
May: Class play based on stories from Thorkill of Iceland
As you can see, we do more of the "enrichment" stuff with our kids--things that are just more fun to do in a group--leaving reading, math, science to home or other co-ops.

Thanks for sharing. You can view information on our homeschool co-op at reachcoop.org
We have about 120 families and divide the kids up into five age groups. If you click on the age groups in the sidebar you can see the classes we're offering for each group.
SOme of your classes sound intriguing. I'm especially interested in the Destruction class. I can see our kids enjoying this one. I think I'll send a link to your post to some of our directors.

That's an impressive co-op list! The families who take part in it are truly blessed.
