Tax due date extended to April 17!
(view similar articles on Personal Finance and Taxes)

This year taxpayers have two additional days to file their taxes, request an extension or contribute to an IRA.

Because April 15 falls on a Sunday in 2007, and the following day, Monday, April 16, is Emancipation Day, a legal holiday in the District of Columbia, taxpayers nationwide will have until Tuesday, April 17, 2007, to file their 2006 returns and pay any taxes due.

(National Association of Tax Profesionals website)

This may be good news to most of you, but to HomeschoolCPA it means two more days of tax season!

Please folks, do your friendly neighborhood tax preparer a favor and get your information to them early!

Thanks!
Carol
