The new Presidential coins can teach US history
Can you name the first 4 US Presidents in order?
If you can you are very bright (or homeschooling! or both!) Only 7% of people surveyed could name the first 4 US presidents in correct order. HomeschoolCPA got it wrong on the 4th one and named the 5th President whose name begins with the same letter.
"That's what's great about the Presidential $1 Coin Program," said United States Mint Director Ed Moy. "This series of circulating coins provides the perfect opportunity for Americans to learn more about our presidents and the critical role they played in some of our nation's historic milestones."
The United States Mint has some educational materials on its website, including lesson plans, background information on the presidents and other fun, educational materials. All free at the U.S. Mint web site.
Looks like some fun stuff to use in your homeschool or your co-op classes.
