I sent off my book!

On Saturday Feb 15, 2008, I mailed off my book Homeschool Co-ops: How to Start Them, Run Them and Not Burn Out on CD, its cover design and a publishing agreement  to Aventine Press.  Whew!  What a job that was; not the mailing, the writing!  Well even the writing was not that hard; it was the editing, the layout, the proofing, the fact checking, getting permission to quote, etc...

Aventine Press says that they need three months until the book is in print and available for purchase on Amazon.  I have the feeling that the next three months will be quite a learning experience for me, since I've never written a book, nor had one published before.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

The months following the publication should be interesting too!  I chose a POD (Print on Demand) publisher, (more on that decision another day) so I am responsible for all of the promotion and marketing.  Since I know the homeschool market fairly well, I feel pretty confident that I can market my book. We'll see!
