The Amazing Bible World History Timeline

Have you ever wondered what was happening in the rest of the world at the time of Moses or maybe David?  Have you ever thought about the fact that the Bible is not written in chronological order?  Do you know which came first - Ruth or Esther?  What about Noah or Abraham?  David or Solomon?

Learning the order in which things took place is very important.  Finding out what was happening in world history in relation to the events that are recorded in the Bible is equally important.  The easiest way to learn this and commit these things to memory is by having some sort of visual aid to put all the events into perspective.

That's where the Amazing Bible Timeline comes in!

Using this timeline will open up a whole new world of understanding (both Bible and history) for you and your family!  Do you notice the different colors and overlaps? By looking at this timeline, you will discover that "Noah lived up until after Abraham was born (and Noah's son Shem was still alive in Isaac's youth)".  Did you know that "Daniel and Confucius lived at the same time"?  You would if you had this timeline!  You'd also know that "Homer (the Greek poet) and Solomon lived in the same century".  Tying these events together will not only give you a new understanding of history, but you'll also enjoy it more!

How big is this timeline?  BIG!  The picture above doesn't do it justice, so here's another one to put it into perspective for you:

Members of the Homeschool Crew will be receiving a copy of this timeline for review.  (I've received mine and am looking for a place of honor to hang it in our dining room/schoolroom.  It will be so nice to have it in easy access, so we don't always have to look things up in a book or on the internet.)

Along with the purchase of the Amazing Bible Timeline, customers also receive access to free Interactive Maps of the Holy Land (these are available via download).  Additional bonuses include: Genealogy of Jesus Christ in two beautifully designed formats (in .pdf form for printing), and a .pdf file of the Amazing Bible Timeline (to be used on your computer).

I was pleasantly surprised when I finally received this product after having read some negative reviews. It's not perfect, but nothing is, and I think I addressed the issues in my review.

It's history and not my favorite. Research it first before purchasing. Not for younger children to use until at least 12 yrs of age.

This was different from other timelines we've used before. It's good for a broad overview but we found it not as detailed as we liked for where we're at in history (1600-1700's.)

Oct. 28, 2009 - I Love this!

Posted by GirlJedi
My Mom got this for the review (she's part of the crew) and I love it! I know a lot about history, but this chart really helped me to put it all in perspective. It even has an index for finding what time you're looking for, and space to write in events and years as they happen during our lifetime. 5/5

Oct. 28, 2009 - Amazing Bible World History Timeline!

This is a good reliable resource for evangelical Christians and includes Biblical History based on Usher's Chronology. We use the Annuals of the World and the chart is a really wonderful visual aid. Easy to read and useable with any curriculum including a CM approach or Ruth Beechick's. We love it!

Nice timeline but one needs to be aware of possible items that may conflict with what you teach as a family based on your religious beliefs.

Nov. 9, 2009 - Not a circular timeline kinda girl!

I prefer a linear timeline, even if it takes more space, becuase you can put more information on it. This one did seem heavy on the information for the Catholic church, devoting a large section on the timeline (in comparison) to that topic, and then tossing in a few things for other Christian denominations.
