Subject: Homeschool Senior:Rebekah-TheLordsDaughter

To get this site up and running, I have asked the HSB Homeschool Seniors to do a little bio of themselves. I will be featuring each of the Seniors this week.

Today, I would like you to meet 2008 Homeschool Senior, Miss Rebekah who is The Lord's Daughter!

My name is Rebekah ~ The LORD’s Daughter. I am nearly eighteen years of age and am the eldest of four soon to be five children. I have three sisters and a baby brother on the way. I blog at http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/TheLordsDaughter. I really cannot say what my favorite subject is as I love learning so much I like most of them equally! I am first and foremost a daughter of the KING! I also love to care for babies, I am an author (unpublished), songwriter, pianist, poet, movie producer, stay-home-daughter, housekeeper, gardener, and much more - not necessarily in that order!

In this my last year of high school I do not have many goals. However, I do have some and I thought I would list them here.
1. First and foremost I want to bring glory and honor to my LORD. That is THE most important “goal” I have.
2. Bible: Finish reading the entire Bible - I am currently in First Chronicles. I want to get through Revelation before I graduate.
3. Finish reading the following (and add a few more :):
Answers Magazine
Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig
Taking Back Astronomy by Dr. Jason Lisle: I love this book! It is all written with a creationist perspective.
Missionary Patriarch by John G. Paton: An Autobiography
The Chronology of the Old Testament by Dr. Floyd Nolen Jones
The Works of Josephus: I am only reading parts of this. It is very interesting.
The Girlhood Home Companion Magazine
The Girlhood Home Companion Collection
4. Finish our study of the United States of America - we are currently studying the War of Independence.
5. Become a better house-keeper (cooking, cleaning, organizing, meal planning, baking, budgeting, time management, etc...)
6. Become a better gardener.
7. Science: Finish “Exploring Creation with Biology” by Dr. Jay Wile and Marilyn F. Durnell
8. Poetry: Write more and read more.
9. Writing: My book, essays and reviews.
10. Sewing: I want to become a much better seamstress.
11. Computer: Learn more HTML by building a website and typing.
12. Music: Practice my piano more, practice singing, continue to write songs.
13. Movies: Continue learning to create and produce movies.
14. Become a better videographer and photographer.

To the KING be all the glory!
