Subject: Homeschool Senior: Miranda-TexasGirl

Today, I would like you to meet 2008 Homeschool Senior, Miss Miranda the TexasGirl.

My name is Miranda Renae Rodriguez and I am 17 years old. My blog is www.Homeschoolblogger.com/Texasgirl. I am a military homeschooler.

I have done many different curriculums such as Abeka, Christian Liberty, ACE, BJU and many others. I have a few subjects that I enjoy. I really enjoy German, and studying Cosmetology, but I would have to say that art(sketching) and guitar are my favorite electives.

I am the oldest of six kids. I have a younger sister and four younger brothers. My father recently left for his second deployment to Iraq.

I was born in Texas and have lived in Arizona, South Carolina and Okinawa, Japan. My family and I were going to move to North Carolina last October with my father, but unfortunately our house has not sold yet. Therefore, as of right now we are stationed in South Carolina.

Due to traveling so often, I am a year behind in my school. Lord willing, I will be attending Bob Jones University in a year or two. I will be studying to become a Cosmetologist like my mother.

I was raised in a Christian family and was told that I received Christ at the age 5, but did not truly receive Christ into my heart until the summer of 2004 at the Wild's camp in North Carolina.

I am hoping this next year, God will open my eyes to the great future ahead and guide me through the biggest mistakes and decisions of my life. No matter what happens, I have decided to praise Him and give Him the glory for the things He has done and the things He will continue to do.
