Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation;

on thee do I wait all the day.

--Psalm 25:5

Waiting for dinner

I have recently reread A Charlotte Mason Companion and it encouraged me to start listening to a composers again. I was doing well a year ago but stopped. Now we are listening to one a month. I was going to listen to one for three months but it seemed a bit long. The reason I'm bringing this up is because I got 11 cd's and 7 cassettes at Christianbook for under $30.00. The cd's were .99 to $1.99 each. I normally don't buy cassettes anymore but for 10 cents each I thought I would add some as well. That way if Josh is listening to a cd in his room Annette can listen to the same composer in her room. I should have just bought double of the cd's since they were so inexpensive

The kiddos have been working so hard on improving themselves. Annette with her body language. Caleb with his whining. Brent with hitting. Josh with remembering to do his chores on his own. Ethan with whining & Lance with communicating properly.

We took them to the candy store at the mall. Josh picked these. I thought they were neat and something to post about. Hee hee.

And this picture is for Auntie Reff (MaryEllen)

What a cute photo of your little guy resting his eyelids before eating! You caught the moment! Great buy on the music.Your improved behavior list has quite a few behaviors we are too familiar with at this house.

Is that rock candy (gravel candy?) in your son's hands?

Sincerely,
Marie

Is that rock candy ??? I haven't seen that in a loooong time.

My boys are 15,13, 9, and 7 now. I won't be surprised if my boys are like their uncles and be 6'4'' . Their daddy is 5' 10''.

I am already praying for my future DIL's. [0;

Blessings and ((hugs)) my SSiC

Hi Linda,
I am so sorry I haven't been by here for such a long time. I really love the new template on your blog. I hope your school year is going good. Ours has been pretty good, but maybe just a bit too easy in some things. Hope you guys have a wonderful week. ~Holly

The candy look like fish tank rocks.Neat looking. I bet they were yummy to. I love classical music. I should get the kids into listening it to. Maybe it would keep them calm in the day to. There are days where I just want to go and lock myself in the bathroom and hide. I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this and God helps me.

I'm Linda, a child of God, wife to my best friend Lupe and mom to Joshua 98, Annette 99, Caleb 00, Brent 01, Ethan 03 & Lance 04. We have been homeschooling since 2002. We homeschool because we believe that this is what God wants us to do right now. I love being with my children, most of the time=) I have to admit that there are days when I ask God "Why am I doing this?" and he gently reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and deep down inside my heart I know why I am homeschooling ;)
