Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation;

on thee do I wait all the day.

Apr. 14, 2008

Monday

Today Brent didn't have any school so we all took the day off. After breakfast I got the kiddos ready to go to the park. Before leaving I put some Marie Calendar's Pot Pies in the oven and put some Dino Nuggets on a cookie sheet. That way when we got home the pies would be done and the nuggets wouldn't take long to cook.

I have learned the hard way about coming home from the park with hungry stomachs. No fun! We are all irritable. Another time after coming home from the park I ordered pizza to be delivered about the time we would be home.

The kiddos had fun at the park. I had them practice dribbling a ball. Then they played on the swings, slides etc. Once I new that they were pretty tired we headed home & had lunch. After lunch Josh & Caleb played outside. Annette, Brent, Ethan & I watched "Reading Rainbow" that we checked out at the Library. The book selection was "Follow the Drinking Gourd" we love that book. One of our favorites is "Sweet Sarah & the Freedom Quilt" I am almost always in tears when I finish the book . Lance & Mathew have been put down for naps.

Now at  2:31pm. I have everyone having quiet time  I need to make the kiddo's school schedule. I usually do this on Friday or Saturday but I forgot . So off I go to get ready for tomorrow.

Blessings,
Linda<><

I'm Linda, a child of God, wife to my best friend Lupe and mom to Joshua 98, Annette 99, Caleb 00, Brent 01, Ethan 03 & Lance 04. We have been homeschooling since 2002. We homeschool because we believe that this is what God wants us to do right now. I love being with my children, most of the time=) I have to admit that there are days when I ask God "Why am I doing this?" and he gently reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and deep down inside my heart I know why I am homeschooling ;)
